The cost diff in options would support throwing in an ARB locker in the future

Wow thanks for all the replies guys. I'm not sure but I'm assuming DCLB and DCSB are dual cab long bed and short?

I want a short bed. Sorry I left that out. Damn I don't know, sport makes sense since I won't be doing much off road at least I don't think so. And it will be a 4x4 so it should in theory still handle good off the hardball. Right?

But I'm going to have to throw on some coopers or duratracs like quick like. I do not like those stock tires.

Someone mentioned the SR5 package as well as the TRD package. What does the sr5 add that the TRD sport doesn't that has confused me for awhile now.

I didn't know the scoop was just for looks...... It does make the truck look badass IMO though.

I just don't think I'll ever use the off road package stuff....

TRD Cat-back Exhaust. Semi-Debadged. Trimmed down stock Antenna. Weathertech vent visors. TRD FJ Cruiser Center Cap Wheel Mod. 265/75/16 Firestone Destination A/T,s . Inverter tapped into for outlet in cab. Tacomaworld sticker which adds 5 hp.
Two things I'm pretty sure about is Sports only come long bed and also any TRD packaged truck already has the SR5 package. I think the SR5 package upgrades wheels and interior. Including seats.

 I stand corrected. I've have only ever seen Sport DCLB around here. Thought that's the only way they came.

DCSB FTW anyway. Not compensating for anything!

And with those Chicas you have plenty of room with a FULL bed to have fun. If you use your bed to move a lot stuff, then the LB is the way to go. Thinking of camping in the future? The LB plus a shell equals great sleeping. Things to ponder....

Hang with the cool kids.. get a Sport... we have scoops that make our trucks go faster....LOL

All kidding aside, I have had both. SB was too short for me, LB, which I love, is more difficult to park. Sport has TRAC, OffRoad has TRAC and locker. Oddly, my SB bottomed out like crazy and I had to get TSB springs and eventually install RideRite air bags, my Sport has never bottomed out, even while towing. I like the Sport scoop, color keyed door handles and mirrors, nicer 17" wheels, and turn signals in the mirrors. I liked the eLocker on the OffRoad and your tire choices are much better with the OffRoad 16" wheels. You can't get all of the off road optional goodies on a Sport if that is important to you. In PA, you can only get a LB in a Sport or a fleet model.

If you can't park a DCLB , that's driver error

    Just saying

lol, not saying you "can't" park a dclb, but it is different. Would I trust my wife to do it on a regular basis and still have all of my paint, probably not .
