I couldn't find an Overland thread so . . . Although I just left a Jeep for the Tacoma world 6 mos. ago with no regrets, I have to admit this Gladiator with a cap looks like a damn nice Overlander. Really excited to see where the mid truck market is in 5 yrs with all the competition. With the '19 model year Bisons already sold out and a Ranger Raptor coming, I think we will see some pretty impressive changes coming. Anywho . . . this looks sick

My buddy works at my local Jeep dealer (not a salesman) and they all got their Gladiator Briefing last week. He FWDed the off-roading specs all the employees received. I'm interested, but not for a year or two to work out any bugs.

IMO it’s definitely going to have its following. It’s one of the new kids on the block and people are going to take a good hard look at it. It’ll also get plenty of aftermarket support. Price tag won’t deter the loyalist’s. They’ll just have to have it no matter what. Remember “it’s a Jeep thing”.

    Just my 0.02.

Someone posted a camper thing or whatever that was on a lifted Jeep. It actually looked pretty good.

Related (i.e. also off topic) - just read an article about the just released price-sheet for the 2019 Dodge Ram 2500s - the most basic low-end model starts at ~ $33K. Yikes.

Also, while the Gladiator in the first pic looks cool, that configuration completely erases the only real attribute that will set it apart from the competition - the removable roof (and probably doors, too). Unless there's some crazy acrobatic way to remove the roof out from under that rack, they'll need a different rack system - maybe the type that bolts onto the A pillars and the rear bumper.
