That doesn't sound like the greatest plan for @loco

Edit: Here's a picture since this is supposed to be the picture thread after all...

If I had your truck I would run it backwards too. But not planning on building mine to that level... ever.

And here's a picture of exactly how far James made it up "Behind the Rocks" which was, in fact, further than me... :pout:

I wouldn't trust the Michelins on that massive, tire impaling rock face either. Though the ample slippage of the Michelins would thwart any chance of breakage............ :D

Where is that? I don't recall an obstacle like that on what we ran.

Hence why James was questioning you on running the whole trial. That's the first obstacle on the proper entrance. Only like a half mile in. I was kind of questioning how we were going to make it up before James broke.

That's the Guardian Hill. It's the first named obstacle coming in off the highway. Right about when that picture was taken was when James blew up his diff so we all turned around and headed back to BFE.
If you came in from the dunes, I'm sure you skipped it.

OK that explains it. I used a valuable resource and snuck us into the trail after that. :D

That's ok I don't mind being the biggest truck at RT.

Im the one that talked him into running the entire trail but I did say stay to the far right. THAT IS NOT THE FAR RIGHT! last year an open open second gen taco made it up the right side while I replaced my axle shaft after trying that exact line.

Haha, I think the "home" part fits that too. Should say "Go big, break, and go back to camp"

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Nope...bad plan! My redemption will be building this Landcruiser and bringing my ass back next year if I can depending on deployment schedules and whether the misses would even let me let alone join me...we shall see.

I think you could make it honestly... just start at the bottom next time and go up... rather than jump to the middle

Phil, im honestly surprised you opted for a clmppetely different platform. I would of thought the taco being so new, you wouldve wanted to build another to continue the fun you were having? Props though for going with the cruiser, super cool and more rare being a diesel. I hope you like to wrench though:)

Actually it was probably a good thing. Next mods were getting expensive so in the long run I guess I saved myself some serious heartache.

I love to wrench which was one of the reasons the cruiser drew me in. Figure if I drop 5 or 6 k in what I have I am going to have a seriously fun truck with 3 lockers, lots of flex and I don't have to worry about body damage like I would with the newer tacoma.

In the end while this whole thing sucked I am pretty stoked to be playing with a new platform... I literally had every bolt and nut size/torque spec memorized on the 2nd Gen and still do but am enjoying this little puzzle of a truck.
