I think if you look back in the 2016 or 2015 thread, you'll find that I have always felt that people who dont win their conference, shouldnt be in.

 

But KJ does not play defense? Our 4th sting WR rushed for more yards than GA's entire team, I dont think we will be hurting too bad.

and maybe not you personally feeling that way but trust me that is all they are talking about on another board.

 

I feel the same, I mean you've already proven you're at best 2nd so why do you deserve another chance?

Like ok, if you get a rematch or something the best outcome possible is 1-1 against that team....so who's better? you can argue it either way.

conference championships should be the only opportunity for rematches because of divisions within the conference, but post-season rematches shouldn't even be an option.

like if I'm a committee member and absolute chaos happens at the top and you feel like you ALMOST have to put 2 from one conference in, go grab undefeated UCF or somebody and put them in. rematches don't prove anything.

 

Honestly, with that mindset, its almost like, one game doesnt prove anything....


Bama and UGA played Auburn at Auburn....with a distinct advantage leaning towards Auburn....


Its best to just leave it....move the playoff to six.

one game does prove it though. you got on the field, you lost or you won. can't play every game at a neutral site so that's why each year it swaps locations.

by your setup of 6, that agrees to rematches being null.

 

I'm good with rematches being null, even though Bama fares well with them....

 

lol you're right, bama does fare well with them. I remember telling countless people that game is already decided when they got the rematch in the national title.

but, it only made LSU vs. Bama 1-1 that season. so, who was better? In November, LSU was. In January, Alabama was. Alabama also played 1 game less that year.

 

Everything that has been released says he is good to go now but still day to day because he has not been medically cleared to play yet(wont know that till gameday. Most insiders I communicate with say he re-injured his shoulder as well as having an abdominal strain. He has not practice but they are confident he will play.

I would expect him to get 10-15 touches if game is going our way, Kam Martin and Devan Barrett have been impressive this season and will do a good enough job. Also will get Eli Stove involved a little bit more.

 

That is not what I was referring to. You said you hope the tide doesn't make the playoffs. I say bull.

 

True... I'm almost surprised that some Bama fans aren't calling Saban to resign after a loss to Auburn.

This is all assuming UGA loses, which I think they have a very good chance of winning that game. They know what is coming this time and will probably be better prepared. That and an attitude to enact some vengeance...

 

I am a little worried about this game more because we dont have Jordan Hare, that place is rough. I am more worried Gus is going to be Gus and have a horrible play calling scheme. I do not think the two teams are even close up front, and that is why I think we will win. You can prepare all you want but them LB's are still going to be there, yall will have to make plays through the air this time.

I could see yall busting a 1-2 big run plays this time around tho. I dont think yall will break 100 this time but yall will double yalls rushing since last go around.

I could see this being a 35-21 game going AU's way.

 

I am a Bama fan, so I'm hoping UGA wins and gives a better reason for Bama to be in the playoffs.

That and I just don't like Auburn.

 

Your chances of getting in the playoffs are greater if Auburn wins....

 

@Bulldogs129 did ya coach have a stroke already? Lol i haven’t seen him before but his face hasn’t changed, that other eyebrow is way too high. Excited to see his offense with Nick tho!

 

Instead of notre dame worrying about murals of christopher columbus i wish they would worry more about joining a conference.
