• Does anyone remember how Ohio got in last year. PENN State won the Big 10 with 2 loss record. Ohio had 1 loss. Hince OS eneded up at #3. There has not been a 2 loss team in the NC since 2007. Committee set a precedence.
• And don't lose to an unranked iowa(that lost to Purdue of all ppl) by 31

 

Not to nitpick but Ohio was #3 last year. My Washington Huskies were #4

Yeah, last year OSU did NOT WIN their division, or the BIG 10. They had 1 loss - to PENN STATE!

Penn State beats Ohio State, wins their division, wins the BIG 10 and doesn't get in....Ohio State does!?!?!?!

So, I don't want to hear any bitching from the Buckeye faithful - YOU set the precedent last year on how to get in!!!! 'Bama got in the same way this year.

Needs to be expanded to 8 teams: Champions of power 5 conferences, 1 from non-power 5 and 2 at large and NO Notre Dame ever until they FULLY join a conference!!! Enough of them getting special considerations!!!

I also would like to see some Non-power conference's in the mix. I'm pretty sure the ultimate goal is 8 in playoffs. Totally agree about ND.

 

I don't know about y'all, but the BEST game I watched all year was UCF vs. South Florida. That game had everything a CFB fan wanted

 

I'm pretty sure we expanded to 4 so that we capture the best 2, because #3 was always whining and jockeying for position. When there was a clear #1 and #2 nobody ever complained, to my observance. Personally, I wish #2 & #3 played two weeks after conference championships (#1 gets a bye) and Natty is played New Years Day.

 

And I'm as tired of ND as anyone else. I thought it was complete bs they would play some times as ACC but not be in ACC. Go away ND, we don't need you! Last time I checked Indiana isn't along the Atlantic Coast

 

I disagreed with it last year and disagree with it this year . But I disagree with it last year more than this year based on one thing. A 31 point loss to a unranked, mediocre at best, Iowa team. Playoff contenders don't lose that bad....period.

I honestly think UGA can create some havoc for Mayfield. No question he is the best player in the nation...but he has his weaknesses just like anyone else. Pressure him hard and often. He proved he panics when pressured all game, just watch the ISU game again. ISU frustrated him pretty much all game with zone blitzes. Keep the zone coverage and blitz him from angles he cant take advantage of to run and you beat OK 9 times out of 10. The x factor of this game in my opinion is OK's defense. They are a much better squad than what the stats say. I know Fromm did well against AU's D but he had already seen what they had to offer. OK's D is much faster and very active than they are given credit for. UGA HAS to establish a run game from the beginning and be willing to continue to pound the rock even it leads to a 3 and out once in a while. Punish OK's front 7, get them tired, and that will soften up their secondary for Fromm to feel comfortable to throw a ball over the middle.
