    Its a conversation...lol.

My goodness....you're the one who seems to have the issues with a bit of back and forth. Isnt that how conversations go? Or, are we all supposed to just toss our opinions out there in the great expanse of the internet and expect nobody to chat back?

well since the original conversation wasn't with you, I would say you were the one that had the issues...since you jumped in.

I welcome debate/discussions/conversations, ask the Alabama thread lol...but when you say something like "aLaBaMa HaS tO gO uNdEfEaTeD tO eArN rEsPeCt"....you kinda lose any validity haha

Sorry, I'll have to rearrange my life to make sure to know exactly when you post on an internet forum...so that I'm there for the very beginning of the conversation........

Also, I'm not sure who I lose validity with, or if it even matters......(it doesn't).

You know it, and I know it. The second Bama loses, you're happy that they are out...Because you expected them to go undefeated....and you feel like any loss should put them out of the post season.

Thank you Alabama and Georgia for making me feel a little better, I needed to see OU fall after all the years of them running up the score in the Big 12 when I was growing up. Time to get my hopes up for next season and then knocked back down real quick after we play both Alabama and Clemson before September ends :)

I literally just wrote earlier that with a loss I would've kept them in the top 4? so "you know it, and I know it" is not true...you keep saying things that are untrue lol.

I love when Alabama loses, because then quality of life goes up in this state.

No more "I just farted and it sounded like Roll Tide harharhar" or "I named my dogs turd after Saban" or "I gots me a couch that looks like a crystal ball".

I'm not sure it would be much different had LSU remained this dominant...so, you can make fun of the people in Alabama all you want....lol.

I don't live in Louisiana so I can't speak to them, I can only speak to what I experience. My mom lives there though and they sure do talk funny.

So, will Kirby be the first spawn to knock off Saban?

Nothing against Fromm but to top that off he’s a 19 yr old true freshman and Thunder and Lightning are seniors. I was actually afraid we’d run it too much and get too far behind just trying to beat down their defense.

I was so glad he was the one to score the winner to redeem himself.

I’m a little worried about the emotional aspect. After a game like ours it’s hard to get up again for the next one. On the flip side of that I feel that the way our game played out could help us.

I felt we were a little tight on defense in the first half. Don’t know if it was the big stage or focusing on Mayfield too much but if it was the big stage part then we got that out of our system and can come out ready to go in Atlanta. I expect another barn burner between us like 2012.

Can Saban still exploit the "Underdog" mentality?

I think Michel and Chubb run right through Alabama's linebackers....or hell, around them even.

Your defense "feeling tight" is going to be the new norm with Kirby. It is an aspect of how he operates.

I agree w/ ya there. It's going to be interesting to see those guys against a Bama team that is pretty solid against the run, but I still worry that you guys will wear Bama out.

Flip side... I only hope are "good" offense shows up unlike in the Clemson game. I'd much rather see Hurts throw the damn ball away instead of running around in the backfield and taking a sack. We have no chance if the same team that played Clemson shows up next Monday as well considering the defense that UGA has.

It will be fun... and it's at home for you UGA guys, so you definitely have that working in your favor!

Considering Jennings went down, those UGA backs running wild is my biggest fear right now. That and Bama really has a hard time scoring. The defense pretty much got them 14 points or it would ended 10-6... not so much of a blowout at that score.

Very well could be... I always felt he was the worst loss that Saban had in the last few years. I know there were a lot of other guys leave, but I loved how Kirby kept that defense up and could make adjustments when he needed to.

This is complete trash talk, but I'd almost like to see what would happen if Kiffin and Kirby were still at Bama together. That would be one wild ride!

Championship football is a game of a few plays.

Alabama came into the game with a HUGE chip on their shoulder and a month to get healthy, game plan and practice. I initially questioned Clemson's offensive coordinators' play calling the first half, however realized they recognized they had to weather the initial storm that Alabama was going to bring and played conservative to minimize turnovers (much like their play calling in the Auburn game).

Alabama's starting field position created a huge advantage, giving that feeling of domination.
Clemson passed and kick returned more yards, Alabama rushed for 76 more yards.
Clemson's defense continued to play to their standard.

The story of the game was the two turnovers, without those Alabama doesn't win.
Clemson trailing 10-6 in 3rd, the Tigers were driving and had the ball at the Alabama 35. Etienne doesn't pick up his man and Bryant is hit, Payne catches the duck- freshman mistake. I thought Etienne should have been out due to concussion; I made a comment about it when I saw he was back in.
Why not run on 2nd and two? There were no safeties over the top, Clemson called a post route (easy TD).
In my mind, this single play created a 14 point swing and is the deciding play of the game.

I will continue to complain how refs allow Alabama to put excessive body/hands on us.
I commend our players for not lowering their standards and retaliating with like play.
    First Example, Payne's touchdown:
    https://247sports.com/college/clems...s-pass-interference-against-Alabama-113064944
Second example, DB running through Cain to tip ball for pic six.
Watch Cain's hip go backwards a yard on DB's contact:

But our defense never really felt tight before. It was like the big stage got to them, at least that was how I was feeling. In most games the first drive or 2 and then they’d seem loose and like they were having fun. Particularly against the run, all year long we’d done a really good job wrapping people up. Last night we didn’t do a good job of that.
