    On the OJ Howard questions....

    I think OJ was a great pass catcher and route runner, but very, very weak at blocking as a TE. So last year, all year long they developed him as a blocker, and then unleashed him in the title game. This year, they kinda NEEDED him to be a blocker in part because the OL isn't as good, and its useful in the Read Option play set.

    OJ is probably my favorite offensive player, unfortunately they don't use him much for yardage and points.

    I remember the first time I saw OJ Howard play, it was at Kentucky. He came in on clean up, and caught a little out route pass about 8 yards from scrimmage and took it to the house and looked effortless while doing so.

    i just read that he had 7 more catches this year for 7 less total yards than last year (45 catches for 595 this year) I must of missed about 35 of his catches this year.

    I don't know which ones, but I saw several Alabama players fighting the madness after the game to shake hands with our guys and coaches...top notch move right there

    It's tough to lose in a heartbreaker, especially on that stage and then fighting thru the media and crowd to acknowledge the other team takes real sportsmanship

    Hats off to Clemson, and congrats to the Clemson fans on this board. that was a hell of a game, and Watson is freaking good!

    I hate that Bo got hurt, but that's what happens in football, and I won't blame that for the loss... we took the lead w/ 2:00 to go in the game and our stronger side got beat by #4 and the rest of the Clemson offense.

    Again, hats off and congrats.


    Also... LOL at the barners who rolled Toomer's Corner. A team that's beaten them 3 times in a row beat another team that's beaten them 3 times in a row, and they celebrate. Idiots.

    The envy here in Columbia is palpable...they cannot stand that Clemson is good and just beat the best team of the decade for the NC


    Me personally, I'm glad it was Bama...beating Bama is a benchmark for everyone these days and leaves no doubt


    What an epic game, and while I'd have been disappointed with the outcome had we lost...it'd be hard to be mad about who you lost to

    Both years we've made Saban dig deep in his shallow offensive bag of tricks and pull out trickery...that's a hard thing to do...it's even tougher to beat him...
