    I would imagine so

Supposedly there's parts of the indictments where coaches paid players with federal grant money

Yes. Then they would be considered professional, and that's a no no. But i think if they want to make a statement. They come on the field and refuse to play. Wonder what would happen?

Well, I Hate lavar Ball, but he already has a shoe for Lamello, who is in high school. They’re working on ways to get around the stupid rule of not making money off of your name before he gets to UCLA.

Like I said, I hate him, but I hope he finds a way to screw the NCAA over and other people can follow suit.

One of the biggest mistakes here is paying with Fed $$. If they're sending in undercover agents and busting Nike, Under Armor, Adidas, there's no ceiling to this! There's no way to stop it (paying players/parents/kinfolks), the NCAA & now others can make examples out of programs/people, but in the end teams/coaches/players/fans want to win and will do whatever it takes to get the 5 stars on campus. On football...they're probably already running undercover agents, this will probably become the norm- show causes, bowl bans, and such. We have a small time basketball coach here that received a 10 year show cause- for a few BBQ's, clothes, shoes and such; keep in mind these student/athletes come from very poverty stricken environment's and are finally being taken care of due to their natural talent/abilities.

The NCAA should be proactive and modernize their rules, benefits to players/coaches. I know they receive a scholarship paid education, but the coaches/universities/local businesses are multi-millionaires. There's no simple solution, but sending in the FBI undercover agents is not the ideal way to resolve it.

I would be skipping that wedding.

But no, I won’t be trekking to Knox. Found tickets in sec C row 13 for $150 each. Good seats. But...I don’t want to drive up there. I’d rather watch it at home so I can see all the other games that day, too.

And eat for free. And drink for free. And not have to drive. Or hear rocky top. Or be around Tennessee fans.

My guess is if BB coaches are doing it then FB coaches are too. Sports in general is too much of a business.

How is Auburns secondary unit? We can only run the ball occationally. We have Smurf receivers. I hope the Tigers don't run the score up to much...

Supposedly one corner(Carlton Davis) was supposed to be a 1st round pick this season but he has been a major let down, has no idea to play the ball in the air. Tray Matthews has had an upsetting career so far but looks like he is finally healthy and has been playing SEC football as of lately. It is deff our weak point of our D but still a pretty solid unit. Our D-line has really helped them out too tho so hard to tell.

Well the FBI just got Bama too it seems. The FBI and NCAA are going to be all over our football and Basketball programs. I’d be a little worried.

    Yup just saw

    https://sports.yahoo.com/alabama-caught-fbi-probe-001659682.html

I'm not so jaded to think this doesn't go on at most major programs in some fashion or another...pay for play accusations pop up every week...but this could seriously get ugly for so many programs in every major sport

So far you have 4 assistant coaches, 1 head coach, 1 AD, and now a basketball administrator (whatever that is) who's careers are effectively over. Serves them right, but at the same time...so sad to see (except slimy ass Rick Pitino)

I'm wondering how long before football feels the ripples and who will be the first casualty there

Apparently the POS Bobby Petrino is planning to get out of Louisville ASAP with all this going on.

Think he lands back in the SEC? Maybe.....Tennessee?

All speculation based on prior bailing, ad leaving, and Lamar leaving

No actual signs he plans to leave

    Head unit. That's it.

I'd say that's probably his hopes. Tennessee can't fall much farther down the ladder....and his cash cow is leaving Louisville after this year anyway....
