LSU may go bowling after all....they suck...but 80% of the SEC sucks just as bad...

 

Tough way to lose this weekend, I figured we get blown out. Still major problems that need correcting, but have slightly more faith that what I had from the first 3 games that we'll make a bowl (especially with Louisville and UF showing their problems).

 

So....targeting. Still the worst rule in football. And the call against the Ohio State kid helps prove my point.

Obviously these refs have no clue what targeting is.

No launching, head to the side, led with his shoulder, and hit the kid in the chest.

Hopefully Vandy, A&M, or LSU makes it to the Independence Bowl, then I get to watch for free

This week's win a TAMU was my favorite kind of win. It wasn't pretty. It was kinda close at the end (though they scored with just a few seconds left on the clock, so it wasn't really THAT close). We didn't play as well as we can.

Basically, we won the game, and Saban has plenty to yell about.

I'm counting on UGA to beat auburn Nov 11. I don't see a loss on Alabama's schedule until the Iron Bowl... so...

For an auburn win in that game NOT to keep Alabama out of the SECC, I need the barn to go ahead and lose to La State this weekend. I wouldn't bet a dime on it actually happening, but auburn hasn't won there this century, so who knows? Either way... GEAUX TIGERS!

I appreciate that you use the tiger for your avitar. I hate that auburn adopted it, too. There are auburn fans who don't realize that it was originally created for y'all (by an Alabama grad).

 

it's the fact that he is saying "La State" as in "lalalalala state" instead of just LSU. LSU is easier to type, therefore it's being typed "La State" just because it sounds stupider lol.

 

well, it wasn't actually created for LSU. I love the tiger but there were schools that used it before LSU, albeit not even in the same universe as LSU so they were kinda the first to use it, definitely before Auburn.

 

Well there's La Monroe, La Tech, La Lafayette... La State just makes sense.

 

The tiger originated as Oswald, for Occidental College. Princeton used the logo I believe, then LSU, then Auburn.

I'm not saying its as common as other acronyms but it could be confused with something else. ie ASU could be Athens state, Arizona state, Albany state etc there could be a Lebanon state university out there somewhere or something just saying. kinda like a few years ago when miss state was relevant and Michigan had a decent team, it got a bit confusing in here a time or two when people said MSU

I do believe the creator is correct, it was a bama grad. If you look in that story though it even says "as LSU claims". LSU had no mark on the logo, just used it. The first school though to use it was Occidental.
