    The uniform is 100% trash. The helmet looks good because it's a good color for a helmet... but put it on another team. Florida shouldn't be doing any of that crap.

    Like Alabama. They wear the throw-back uniform in every game.

    The team actually wore white helmets briefly a couple of times way back in the day. I guess I'd be OK with that here and there, but I don't really care either way.

    EDIT: Actually, I've seen a mock-up and it looks pretty good. Only w/ the away white unis, though. It's awkward w/ the home Crimson.

    Agreed. This is the ONLY permanent change to the Alabama uniform that I support. I think our helmets would look awesome in matte finish. As it is, they're somewhere between polished and matte.

    Rumor is a 5* OL is gonna commit to UGA. #3 player in Georgia, and #7 in the nation. That would give Georgia 2 of the top 3 in the state and 3 of the top 10 in the nation, if he does sign.

    The history behind the purple and the current use makes it ok imo

    Back when football was started at colleges, Walter Riggs left Auburn and came to Clemson and brought football with him. Along with that, the tiger mascot and some old worn out uniforms that had faded from the blue that Auburn utilizes. The faded blue was basically purple so it was adopted in because that's what they had to wear.

    Nowadays it's trim only unless its military appreciation day and the purple is utilized to represent Purple Heart recipients and honor them. If someone has an issue with that...well...fuck em

    I didn't know that story. I've been CLOSE to Clemson's campus, but never on it. People here say it's "auburn with a lake." I just assumed it was because both campuses have a similar feel (or something) and both are the university in their state not named "University of..." Think that story is part of it, too?

    (FWIW - I'm sure some people think "auburn with a lake" is an insult to Clemson. I don't think of it that way.)
