Two weeks ago I was sitting by a fire in 6 ft of snow in Tahoe and this week down south in the rocks. I'm not usually one to support Southern California, but the rocks were fun.

@Don5352 I see you liking my post. Gonna come up and join? Let me repay you for the ball my dog lost and beer you supplied me?

It'll probably only be a half day run. I'm going to a show in the evening

    Some really cool shit
I'm thinking on it. Gonna be a lot of rain at low altitude, like our last trip. Lots of new snow up high, if we can get there. I've not been to this place so I'd like to go. What roads are involved?

It'll be my first time too. I'd suggest google mormon emigrant trail. I know we take the sly park exit off 50 but not a whole lot more than that. @frenchyofcp will be bringing a buddy with a bronco I believe

I'll look up more info later when I get back from snowboarding. I'll be hiking up ice house road tomorrow if anyone wants to join

I always try to be. If it's too hairy we won't go far in. Or at least I won't.

@BBtacosurfer that was Anza Borrego state park. Just north of San Diego. We traveled all the way from here in Nor Cal and it was worth every dull second on I-5. Tens of thousands of acres and lots of four wheeling. We went dawn till dusk and then some after dark for 5 days and only saw a fraction. I'll look post a handful more pics once i sort them all out.

Separate question for the the thread. I am a new 4x4 owner and new TW member which basically makes me a piece of shit....but what is the MET trail? I've seen other people mention/thread about it but don't have the scoop on it. Let the schooling begin.

A good friend in san Diego has been begging us to come down. Might have to just to see that park...

MET stands for Mormon Emigrant Trail. It basically just an unplowed road in the winter and makes for good snow wheeling (to the best of my knowledge, my first time there will be Sunday)
