Not enough to have a build thread.
Well reality just proceeded to pimp slap me. I can't snow wheel this weekend. I have "other plans." Fml...

Hopefully you guys can have some fun without me. I know it'll be difficult, but at least try

God this sucks. I was looking forward to meeting you @Fernando. Now I won't be able to til after you're recovered. Well I hope you recover quickly and were able to hit up some trails afterwards. I'm ordering my sliders when I get my CA refund

I haven't been on any group trips yet so it's just suggestion but I'm trying to pin drop a route from the TNF into the PNF that crosses a handful of lakes. Who's been up in the area? I'd like to PM you my map and see if you can offer any insight for when the snow melts.

Is there any wheeling to be done/fire roads to take through Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Muir Woods National Monument, or Mt Tamalpais State Park? I'm still new to the area and see that there is camping and plenty of trails marked on google maps but I wasn't sure they were for OHV use.

I know there's better wheeling a distance away but the girlfriend wants to finally come but only for a day trip... saw some sort of trail from the Panoramic Hwy down to Muir Beach.

Oh Man...Marin doesn't even like bicycles on dirt let alone trucks!

I think there has been storm damage to some roads in that area.

It does suck. Marin is super anti mountain biking. I refuse to spend a dime there because of it.

Anyway, all the good wheeling is pretty far away. But on the plus side it's really really good wheeling and amazing camping.

    Where did you move from?

    Some really cool shit
What? That is the birthplace of mountain biking? Crazy. I went hiking around the lakes a couple weeks back. Holy shit there were a ton of folks walking about. I lived in Marin County from 1994-1998, but it's GROWN even from then.

Sadly yes. There are only two legal singletrack trails in all of Marin county. China Camp and Camp Tamarancho (which is private..owned by the Boy Scouts). Every other trail was closed to mountain bikers in the 90's. There are still fire roads but those are not what mountain biking is about.

Just google Marin Mountain biking or something like that.

Mountain Biking in the bay area is complicated issue. No where else in the country is it this complicated. It comes down to the equestrians and the hikers want all the trails for them. They're organized and have lots of money. Meanwhile, Mountain Bikers just want to ride and drink beer, not protest and advocate for more trail access.

Baja. It's about 400something miles but there are endless dirt biking trials there.

Just curious why are there so many Tacomas in Hawaii? I noticed that too when I was there this past summer. Seemed like every other vehicle was a Tacoma.
