I feel both parties are at fault. I've lost a little respect for both racers. 1: RD for being a lil' bitch and calling out CR after Heat #1 even though CR was on pace. And CR for the D-bag move during the mains.

I'm starting to notice MM25 is really turning up the heat and sometime down right faster than RD. Anyone else feel like MM25 will jump ship if redbull-KTM doesn't let him get some of the spotlight? If KTM corp was smart they should make him ride a Husky so MM25 and RD can battle it out.... it would be good for sales.

Honestly though, if RD calls him out then so what? It's just words. That happens all of the time. Reed, of all people, always runs his mouth. A former champ should have more respect than to interfere with the race, because he got his feelings hurt. I like Reed better than Dungey but just calling it how I see it.

As far as the MM25 thing, I think you make a good point. I think they thought Anderson was going to be more of a factor up front but he hasn't really ran that pace. Also, keep in mind that Dungey's contract is up at the end of the year and many people have been saying that he is going to call it quits (that's been a rumor for the past year now). So if that is the case, they probably want to keep MM on the KTMs as their #1 guy.

MOTO update: Christian Craig to 450's on a HRC Honda ride. Anyone know if Jeremy Martin is racing 250 or 450 for outdoor? Too early to think about outdoor...kinda haha

Coming from someone who competitively raced MX and SX for many years as a top ranked amateur and even qualifying for a few big races (10+ years ago) it was a total dick move on Chad's part but I can't say as I wouldn't have do e the same thin. Ryan is a total tool and a cocky little jerkey who knows how to play the sponsorship game. If i was racing at the caliber Reed does and got called out by Ryan after a heat race it would be game on.

Reed was racing at the caliber of a 16th place guy, in the way, getting lapped. GTF out of the way. None of that other stuff matters, it's just talk/attitude etc. That has nothing to do with the racing incident.

Had Ryan not been a little dick after the heat race you can guarantee Chad would have let him pass. He ran his mouth and it bit him in the ass it's as simple as that.

Again, it's just words. People do that on the podium or in interviews all of the time. If anything, Reed is the one who is acting like a bitch. 1: It obviously hurt his feelings and 2: He got smoked anyways. So really, he just proved Dungey's original point. He's just being a guy in the way / non-factor, at this point. I'm not even a Dungey fan and have always been a huge Reed fan, but it is what it is. If Reed wanted to make a statement, then run up front and battle straight up. If that was the case, I'd be cheering for him to beat RD 100% (as long as it is reasonably clean). But to get in the way while you stumble around at the back of the pack is ridiculous. It shows that his ego and attitude is no better than anyone else's. Total scrub move.

To these guys at this point it's all about ego and pride. I was in a similar situation the last time I races Loretta Lynn's I knew it was going to be my last time racing there as it was too high of a cost financially and I finally realized I was not going to be at the caliber of the top pros. There was one cocky little guy just like Ryan in the pits who was just a total a hole not just to me but to everyone named Todd. Well final round I was running in the low mid pack after a crash and guess who came up to pass me with a lap left on the lead lap. Todd and someone else fighting for 3rd. Needless to say Todd should have passed him but he didn't and his cocky attitude cost him a podium. I've never had so many high fives as I did back in the pits.

Reed is a bitch and will always be a little bitch. 90% of the riders who make it to the big leagues forget racing is
supposed to be FUN. At that level it's about keeping your sponsors happy and your bike up right. I'd like to see
Dungey punt Reed up into the stands at the next race.:bikewhoops:

Reed has had an amazing career and on that alone I kinda love the guy...

Dungy is a bitch, albeit one of those bitches who is nearly impossible to beat... the guy is a professional in the sense of tom brady.

reed however has that allan iverson in him... and i kinda like that.

People who say Ryan Dungey is a cocky jerk have clearly never met the guy. Simple as that.

Christian Craig is definitely a cool story. Very excited he's getting a shot.

Both him and Zach Osborne are definitely inspiring riders in my opinion and the type of guys you want to see make it to the top in this sport!

I'm happy for Craig as well. I must say, I think it is a mistake to not give J Mart the 450 ride this year, though. He is racing 450s full-time next year, so this is a perfect scenario where he could get some 450 experience. He wanted to do 450s full-time this year anyways, but had some issues with what he thought was going to be his team (supposedly RCH and the deal fell through). I don't think he cares about going after another 250 title anyways. But it is what it is. Hopefully he can win the 250 title and I wish Craig the best on his 450 spot.

And ya, Osbourne is awesome. I have always rooted for him. Sucks he went overseas there for awhile but glad he's doing well back home, the past few years.

Honestly, when I call him a little bitch I really am saying it in the most endearing of ways...

I don't think HRC cares about getting Martin 450 time. He is only under contract through the summer, and Sealy and Roxzen have the HRC seats taken next year. I am guessing he was allowed to race Daytona just because they figured he would do well in a outdoorsy type race, but why should HRC groom a guy who is going else where.
Also I doubt Gieco Honda wanted to lend him to the 450 team. He is defiantly the team's best shot at capturing a outdoor crown for the Gieco stable, before moving on.

I get that but he is still under contract to Geico / Honda for next year to race 450s full-time. While HRC and Geico are different teams and different interests, it is still Honda showcasing their bike. Geico and HRC have worked together in the past. Barcia was given the HRC 450 ride, while under contract to ride 250s for Geico (due to injury). Also, Geico made a spot for Tomac, since HRC didn't have room / resources to fit him under their tent. But he was basically getting anything he needed from Honda as a parent company. The fact that J Mart is going to be on a Honda 450 in the future, makes sense to have him running up front on the HRC bike now and then next year on the Geico 450 he won't be a 'rookie'. Just my opinion. Nothing against Craig, I just think J Mart has a better chance of putting the HRC 450 on the podium. But perhaps Geico just wants that 250 title, so that was how it all worked out. I'm not sure.
