    Not sure if this has been brought up or not, but IN MY OPINION: THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH COLLEGE ATHLETICS TODAY.

    Nick Bosa of Ohio State is hurt and doesn't want to jeopardize his draft status by playing again this year - potential #1 overall pick. That is smart.

    But, HE DROPS OUT OF SCHOOL to prepare for the draft????

    Being an old fart, I thought an education was the real reason to attend a college or university, not to play a sport!!! As I said, likely a smart move not to play again this year, but stay in school and work on your education. Pro careers don't last forever, and lots of guys 'blow their wad' way too soon due to bad financial deals......then what??? Not everyone can become an announcer.

    Baseball and hockey have it right with well established minor league systems. The NBA has the G league and is looking at another league for potential 'stars' who don't want to go the 'one and done' route. The NFL has no minor league system, and why should they since the college rules have changed so much and allow under grads to leave early.

    Sorry for the rant......just kills me that a 'student athlete' really doesn't exist much anymore.
