I didn't hear about it until it had been a confirmed suicide. Really sad. He was just a kid.

Congratulations to Coach Locksley! Named Alabama's new OC today.

Chris Low says he's the third former head-coach to hold the position at Alabama under Saban. I only remember one of the other two... I'm sure I'll smack my own head when I see it.

EDIT... nevermind... Coach Sark... for that one game... that we lost. [facepalm]

    Good riddance.

It's going to hurt next time he punches somebody. You know... with that big ol' ring on his hand.

Bryant Denny just really isn't anything special except to Alabama fans though. You hardly hear anybody that was the opposing fan say they loved the stadium.

B4 anybody says "it's because the opposing teams lose", even with a win the stadium just isn't amazing or anything.

I really want to visit the other Death Valley (Clemson) someday, though.

    And alumni of...

    Tennessee? No!!!!

I will say, my second favorite college stadium is Death Valley. The real Death Valley, not the imposter in SC.

I don't put a lot of importance on being an alumni, personally. Some folks make decisions based on major/school reputation/location instead of being a fan (not saying that's what you did).

Yes Tennessee, the stadium is awesome. I wish it was decorated purple instead of orange, but eh it is what it is.

I did love LSU's Death Valley, even during a loss the experience there was just awesome for me.

College Station is on my list to visit, too.

I have luckily not been in Death Valley for an Alabama loss (knock on wood) and would never want to be. Them Cajuns can get nasty.

I think part of the issue with Bryant-Denny is that most of our truly epic Home wins in the early days occurred at Legion Field and that kind of took away from the specialness of BD. BD is now a beautiful stadium with a lot of tradition but because it split time with Legion Field for so many years, it does rank behind some other stadiums - this coming from a Bama fan. But, I will take our National Championships and the rest of you can have your special stadiums.....LOL. ROLL TIDE!

I pray for any of my friends that go down there win or loss as an opposing fan. I'd honestly be more scared if your team came out with a win than a loss. I complain about Alabama fans because I live around them, but I'm the first to admit that LSU fans in their home are awful to opposing fans, anytime other than tailgating time. During tailgating they're all about sharing their gumbo, crocodile, or whatever they have made.
