also, there is always question. you can't guarantee to me it would have been ejection or any other result. you can't possibly guarantee anything.

the bammers came out and are trying to mock the billboards or whatever and act like they don't do anything wrong.

I, myself, am simply stating that it is very questionable and the fact that the billboards and the discussions are making their way up the ladders to the safety offices are a good thing. I've seen nobody agree that next game suspensions make sense.

I'm not sure how you so confidently say this meets the criteria. leads with arm to chest, no launches, facemasks touch each other after initial contact.

 

Im sure it wouldn't be as big of a deal if rice was as our next game but its not....this is playoff deciding game for us, so yes a call like that is affecting the program greatly and in no way should it have been targeting. A push to the chest is not targeting...

 

I will agree here, since this penalty will always be opinionated even with their fine print in the rule book. Bottom line, the rule HAS TO be rewritten again and a tier system or something has to be put in place. It should be treated like an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty. First one is basically your warning, 2nd results in ejection. These immediate ejections for bang bang reaction plays are ruining the game for players. Some of these players only have a number of games they actually play and showcase their skillset, making them miss any time because of a play that just happened is wrong. There are very few targeting plays that I have seen that was intentional or malicious intent. I think the ones that are on purpose are fairly obvious.

 

No excuses though our other LB and defense players will step up the first half and make plays when they need to. And devin white comes in 2nd half with fresh legs

 

I agree 100%. Like buckshot said though, this game is such a playoff deciding game (for LSU at least, I think Bama can sacrifice it), that it's a huge miscall.

 

Should be a 15 yard penalty or an ejection depending on hit. And 2nd 15 yard then ejection regardless in my opinion

 

I'd be just as annoyed by it if it was against Rice lol, the call was garbage. I do hope the rest of the defense steps up, but we will see. Delpit needs to have the game of his life.

I do too it was a garbage call. Our cbs are going to show up and not let these wr do what they have done to everyone else. Plus white will get divinity and the line all hyped up while offense on the field. We literally have the best hype man in college football the first half for our defense and the fire he will bring in the 2nd half will make the d just come to life even more

I hope LSU wins just because I would love to get another shot at them in MBS. And would much rather play them than Bama.

 

rematches do tend to favor the team that lost first. I want LSU to play Florida again.

 

Hopefully we will make sure that doesn't happen on Saturday.
