When you have Nick Saban, now Jimbo Fisher, once Urban Meyer, Dan Mullen, etc etc to compete with...sorry man you arent getting anybody as a recruit. What's your pitch gonna be? "I was the first to say Texas was coming back to the top when they weren't"?

 

His pitch is easy. Come to Kansas play right away get some exposure before your red shirt junior year. Have a coach who has put boat loads of talent into the NFL

 

I’m as surprised as anyone that he went to Kansas, maybe he’ll meet Dorothy and borrow the shoes during recruiting...haha

 

That might actually work, given today’s me me me, never wait mentality. If I don’t play this year, I’m transferring...let me sky dive while picking my school...lol

 

We will just have to wait and see what happens and judge in 3-4 years.

I've changed my mind about playing ou again. I hope Yankee Virginia wins so we can avenge at least one loss this season and leave ou crying about not being in the big xii game. Because fuck ou.

That is IF we beat Kansas.
This season has been a chance for us to exorcise some demons and beating ku in Lawrence will complete the circuit.

I think we are actually a year ahead of where I thought we'd be. With the players we will lose on defense it will be interesting to see how much we can improve next season.

 

Unfortunately for Kansas, the name Les Miles is not going to help that much. They will have to prove themselves with wins and obvious improvement under Les before recruiting will take off. So if there isnt an immediate positive impact within his 1st two years, with the players already stabled at Kansas, Les will have to hit the road.

 

It's a total rebuild of the program. I've heard the term two coach turn around. Les has the name to help raise money and awareness. If he can win 6-7 games a season he's done his job and then they will try to get an up and comer to come in and continue the growth.

He has a really good recruiting pitch. I’m Les Miles I have won a National Championship, come here play now no need to red shirt or wait till you junior year to get exposure. I have put so many Of my players in the NFL you could be next. We are still in a power 5 conference. And if he can recruit anywhere near the defensive players like he did at LSU the big 12 might actually get a defense. I’m not a Kansas fan no where near it but by year 3 he will be hunting toward the 3 or 4 spot in the big 12.

I enjoyed the battle for the golden egg last night! 35-3...I must say that Ole Miss didn’t look good in any phase of the game...at all. Weird brawl for absolutely no reason too.

I’m not a homer for any team in the big 12. No one plays defense if you can mold Kansas into a defensive team and have a decently effiecent offense you’ll see. Other then OU, VW and maybe Texas the big 12 is as weak as a baby bench pressing.

 

Coaches make a huge difference in college football. Les Miles is still a big name.

 

If ESPN slurps Les like they do to Saban. ESPN created the myth of Nick Saban. He was a good coach through MSU an a great coach at LSU. But then ESPN started slurping Nick Saban and building him up as the John Wooden of NCAA Football.
