Ideal for me is a UGA v. Clemson semifinals game and then a UGA v. Bama Natty game again....with different results, of course.

The thing with the spousal abuse to me is look how many women get abused then turn right around and defend their man once they see him getting in trouble. I have always been taught to not get involved if I see a man beating his woman because she turn right around and jump on you for fighting her man. If he’s got money/game it’s all the worse.

So for me him not reporting it could be a moral issue but we all know it really comes down to him not wanting any disruption from the team just like the Joe Pa deal. But also if she was wishey washy about it I could see where that’d make someone just turn their head from it also.

Odds are that wouldn’t play out again imo. Most likely we’d face Bama in the SECCG and not play each other again. It would be fun to see again though.

Maybe if we both met undefeated in the SECCG both could still make the playoff but that’s not likely either. There would have to be a lot of 2 or more loss conference champions for that to happen.

As much of an SEC fan I am I do understand how the rest of college football must have felt last year. If the roles were reversed and 2 big 10 teams were in with 1 loss each and we missed out on the playoff for 1 or even 2 losses I’d still had wanted a shot against one of them.

With that said I do truly believe that the best 2 teams played in the championship game last year.

Can a mod sticky this so we can compare to the actual final standings? That might be something cool to keep track of season to season.

Without starting a stupid argument I have a legit question. Are you just a huge Texas fan and have high hopes for your team like we all do or do you expect them to do something this year?

I'm going to take myself out of this part of your post...

I do not have high hopes anymore for LSU, not until they show promise. Most likely, they'll show promise up until the Alabama game and then lay an egg....just so I get to hear it all again for a year

If you're wondering why all the pics. I'm continuing the tradition of counting down to kick off. The # of the player corresponds to the days left.

As far as Texas goes I think we have found our coach. I really liked Charley Strong but he was our rebound after a long relationship and not a really good fit here. As you can see from his previous jobs and current job he is a great coach and I hope he continues to do well.

I legit think we can have an 8-10 win season. Still sketchy at QB and some questions on the o-line. But we have playmakers all over the field and will more than likely have another top 5 defense.

Tl/dr: Texas is on the way back to the top.

You're not very bright are you son?

Top 15 would be 1-15. Need to work on your digs or this is going to be a long season for you.

I'm a Georgia fan...you've got to cut me some slack.

What I meant was that I think Texas may have a chance to finish in the top-15, but no higher up than that. Yall have a tough schedule: USC, TCU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia. Of those 5 games, I'd bet Texas wins OK ST and WV and loses the other 3.

According to NE Ohio newspapers, Urban Meyer supposedly has a clause in his contract that he MUST report ANY/ALL violations relating to the team/staff/associated people or he could be fired - highly unlikely that will happen. He also lied about his knowledge on Big10 Media day.

Also something about Title IX being involved through the NCAA.

Paterno got canned for something unrelated to actual football - precident setting??

Louisville's hoops coach (blanking on his name now) got canned for non-hoops issues - precident setting??

Tressel gets canned (resigns) from Ohio State for using ineligible players for a year

Meyer will get a slap on the wrist, as will AD Gene Smith who supposedly knew the same and did nothing according to the newspapers.
