AP along with a student newspaper have asked for Urban Meyer's texts from his University-owned cell phone - which were deleted. The deletion apparently violates open records laws in the state of Ohio. The story also claims it could hide potential recruiting violations. The school paper also asked for AD Gene Smith's texts to Meyer relating to these issues with the asst. coach.

Article said technology can find the emails/texts on the phone - just liked finding 'deleted' items on a computer - they are more or less hidden and not truly deleted. Previously, Houston Nutt @ Mississippi and Hugh Freeze @ Mississippi had their phones searched for wrong doing and it worked.

Lets see how this plays out.......OSU as a public entity has the onus on them to have the phones checked for deleted texts according to open records laws in Ohio. The AP request came on August 2nd, the day after the phone was supposedly cleaned.

LSU is such an NFL Factory that they put their opening game on Sunday.

lol I bet LSU/Miami lands more viewers. The NFL keeps shooting themselves in the foot, and also too many games are available unless you're in the area.

Not even a little bit. I care 0 about the NFL. I'll give you the more players in the NFL for more rings any day.


It is cool that LSU (as an SEC school) sends that many players there. Very few players from Alabama have ever done anything extraordinary in the NFL.

 

The fact LSU does that, and can't win is ridiculous lol. I blame it mainly on the missing piece (the QB), that LSU hasn't had.

I've grown more and more interested in the NFL, because it gives me football to watch on other days of the week lol.

 

Alabama has just about thrown several games (including the championship) from the missing piece that we can never find (place kicker).

 

I'll take a good QB over a kicker any day.

 

(Some) Tuesdays and every Wednesday sucks between now and February. There is literally football on every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! Again, even some small schools play on Tuesday but Wednesdays just suck!
