I mean it's not accurate though, but a team with a defense rating higher than 82nd would nice to see them play lol. Which they did with A&M, and they showed up. Credit for a good win.

I do love seeing fans say "Bama could beat an NFL team".....lmao, like.....uh, no they couldn't?

 

These are the most ridiculous statements..................although id love to see them play, haha. But when it could to a NFL team, all the players on their team are NFL caliber players. Although some Bammers may think the whole Alabama team is NFL caliber, believe it or not, there are SOME...not many but some that don't have NFL potential.

 

I am pretty sure Alabama could beat the brakes off of the Atlanta Falcons

 

and really the only reason Alabama's schedule gets ridiculed so much is because as you have said, they are at the top. it's not some "pick on the best" mentality, though. it's "if you're going to claim to be the best, get talked about as the best, and be overly cocky then you should have a harder schedule". at least for me.

it's like playing a video game on the easiest difficulty, beating it without dying, then bragging to someone that beat it on the hardest difficulty, but that died a few times lol. in my opinion.

But why would an opposing team with hopes of a national championship run agree to schedule Alabama during the regular season?

well that's not true, but that's your "we're the best" mentality speaking again. all of the teams on Alabama's schedule have hopes of a national championship.

trust me, it's not higher ranked teams saying "oh no we aren't playing Bama"

So, are higher ranked teams begging to play Alabama then? Are their AD's calling and begging for openers and regular season games against Alabama?














If so, why would they do that?

 

it's just too easy nowadays to make it to the playoff by beating cupcakes all year (see Ohio State). so why would any team schedule anything difficult?

it's boring to the fans, but you have an easier run of it. can't blame 'em for that. not saying that's what Bama did, but clearly an easier run than a lot, and like I said..that's fine. do your thing.

the problem comes in when the arrogance, the cockiness, the stats showing off start happening. play your easy schedules all you want, just don't brag about 'em.

I have been going to Kentucky games since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Therefore, I will not predict anything crazy. Just focusing on South Carolina this coming weekend....

I dont know because I'm not in the scheduling offices? Is Alabama clamoring to play them? Doubtful.

 

So, then, which is it?

Is Alabama scheduling cupcakes to get to the playoffs, or is everyone else?

I highly doubt Alabama would avoid an opener with say, a top 3 ranked opponent.

I'm not butthurt. You're clamoring for something that are two opposites. You can't have it both ways, damn Alabama for their schedule and then say that its ok that everyone does it.


Unless, you think Alabama is clearly better than everyone in the country when they get onto the field.


Alabama isn't gloating, arrogant or cocky. Do they have a confidence? Sure! Some of the fans may be arrogant or cocky, but they dont play on Saturdays, so that doesnt even matter. If anyone is butthurt, its you. Can't handle a few fans of the number one team in the country being a tad boisterous.

 

I laugh at anybody who says Alabama (or any other team) could take on any NFL team. At best, Alabama has 10-15 guys who could play in the league at any given time? An NFL roster has, by definition, 53 guys. It's nonsense and anybody who engages in it should be ridiculed.
