The statement that UT doesn't need a QB is not relevant.

It's irrelevant because Hurts is better than their current option.

"I dont need a Ferarri, I have a Ford Fusion."

    See, doesn't work.

As a non-tweeter... anyone have the Tate drama?

I remember his recruitment and all the shit he was pulling. Even with Nebraska. He kept Neb "in the loop" for more twitter love to stroke his ego. I'm OK with that kid never starting a game anywhere. Was curious if he'd ever learn humility, but guess not.

But the Ferrari isn't effective in a parking lot.

My point is I think JG is pretty dang good. But those around him suck. I'm not convinced another QB is the answer

With an athlete like Jalen, they have the ability to cover, mask, or compensate for the inefficiencies of the O-line because they can make plays with their feet. Jalen has the experience of playing in big games against tough defenses. He can also bring insight to how to succeed via continuous improvement mentalities. Plus, Jalen doesn't get rattled. Having that calm is a huge confidence builder in those around him.

Not to mention, he knows alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll of Alabama's offensive plays. HAHAHAHHAA. Pair that with Pruitt knowing the defensive mantra's, you've got quite a bit of advantage.

I'd argue that Jalen is a better big game QB than Tua

After his last three games (and really only big games of 2018), I’d say you’re onto something.

I kinda figured he'd (Tua) start to get labelled that way.

Enos to Miama as OC. Tua wont have his QB coach or OC next year.

No doubt hes good, I'm just seeing Jalen typically handles big games better, minus the NC game last year

wowza that actually does hurt Alabama. "next one up" is going to be a hard thing to do losing Enos/Gattis and more like that.

before the bammers chime in "we lose coaches like this every year blah blah we will be fine blah blah".....you don't lose QB coaches like Enos every year.

wonder why he went to Miami for the same job...maybe because he can get Jalen? maybe because he expects to become head coach there?

I dunno, but replacing players is difficult enough, and I'm starting to wonder if Saban can recover from losing Gattis and Enos. Enos is on a different level. Maybe Kiffin comes back?

I would die if that happened lol. Enos is on a different level for sure. Is there a point that it is too much rebuilding for even Saban to handle?

I think we are witnessing it.

There will be little continuity on the offensive side of the ball. New Center, OC, QB Coach, WR Coach, WR's, losing two running backs and a few O-linemen other than the Center.

Saban is supposed to be on the recruiting trail right now, right? For players....

Who is pulling some OC and WR coaches?

Our defensive backfield should be better next year. Especially if Saban continues to be involved.

I'm not sure this pace of losing staff is sustainable. I wonder how many decommits happen because of losing so many recruiters.

As a non bama fan I'm definitely never counting bama out, but this is a lot. Maybe not as many players necessarily this year but like you said how many decide not to come now? Will be interesting to see how this unfolds. Saban will land someone big for OC I'm sure. Just wonder who.

The problem with him landing someone big, is they probably wont be there in a couple years.

I'll never doubt Saban. Maybe I'm just intimidated because I know I'd personally have a hard time replacing so many excellent staff members for such a long stretch, all while balancing recruits. I know a lot of them come there to be coached by Saban, but the OC and DC have a lot of influence on that as well.

I was hearing that the UK OC wasn’t offered the position after all. Only that they did discuss a position with no offer made. Wonder if maybe they wanted him as a co-coordinator along with Coley? Maybe for the experience factor?
