Pitt is a terrible experience because they play at Heinz Field and they don’t put on a good show. Their biggest games are when WVU comes to town, and their fans admit that it’s basically a home game for WVU. Super boring.

Cincinnati has an awesome small field. I really enjoyed going to a game there when WVU was in the Big East. They also sell beer in the stadium, which is a plus.

Best Overall Experience: LSU, BYU, Neb
Worst Overall Experience: Ohio St, Marshall

BYU and Neb have the classiest fans in the sport. LSU was amazing overall.

OSU and Marshall have the worst fans I've seen, obnoxious and harassing visiting fans.

Marshall is absolute trash. They almost beat us like ten years ago down there and starting mobbing hard before they got reminded who they are and lost in OT. That school almost caved in from depression that day.

booyah I'm glad you have LSU on your best list! I love it down there too even if I don't live there, it's a great experience.

Auburn at Jordan Hare is a phenomal time too, take time to enjoy the campus and all that's around if you get the chance.

Also I really really liked going to Neyland Stadium even if Tennessee sucks asssssssss. The history you just feel when you walk in and the fans that are still just so devoted to them make it great.

Can't speak to any outside the SEC I haven't been fortunate enough to make it to any. Keep us documented on your experiences I think this is a cool goal of yours.

Get Texas and ou at the same time in the red river shoot out.
The game is played at the cotton bowl in the middle of the state fair.
Craziest atmosphere and greatest rivalry in college football.

Would love to, the problem with many teams/specific games is getting tickets. I won't leave home for a game unless I have a ticket or know tickets are available at the ticket office. If I go to see a big time program, I usually do that early in the season against a G5 or FCS school and get my tickets through the visiting team.

Every once in a great while a P5 team will play at a G5 school, that how I got to see Okla St at Central Mich. I am hoping to see Stanford play at UCF in Sept, but that's prime hurricane season. Won't make the call to go until the week before the game, but then the possibility of tickets being available goes down.

Ah I've got family in Kettering!

When 2020 schedules get settled hit me up with a possible Clemson game you're interested in and I'll see what I can do if I'm not going to be using my tickets

That's very nice of you, thanks.

When I fly to games, I usually try to get two games per trip. Have had good luck with a Thur/Fri game, then a Sat game. It can make for an odd pair of games, but it's more bang for the travel buck. Would love to do two of the North Carolina ACC teams or two Sun Belt over a weekend at some point, just a question of the schedulers cooperating.

Almost went to the Marshall @ Clemson game in 1999, was down there visiting the wife's cousin. The cousin went to a lot of trouble to throw a small party for us, the wife let me know she'd take a dim view of me cutting out for a ballgame.

Clemson and South Carolina are about 120 miles apart and if you time games right knock out 2 acc and 2 sec in that time span

Moss was on the map before that. He was the #1 rated player in the nation his senior year. He signed a national letter of intent to play at ND, but was denied admission after he damn near killed a guy in a fight. He then took his act to FSU, but got dismissed there before he played a down. When he transferred to Marshall, they were still a D1AA school. He was a man playing against boys, wasn't much better when MU joined the MAC.

I've been to a good number of games at UC, it's just a shame they can't regularly sell out a 40k seat stadium. UC football games were routinely out attended by a minor league soccer team at Nippert. They open this year at home against UCLA, doubt there will be 25K fans.

A couple other game/school experiences I found to be surprising good were Iowa St and Wyoming. Both have smaller stadiums but the fans were great, as were the tailgating and pregame activities.

My #1 "wish list" game/team to attend is at Boise St. I've seen Boise play road games against MAC teams, but would love to see them on the blue turf. I've been told tickets are hard to come by.
