Pleasantly surprised by the first half. Fromm seems to be comfortable with Pickens finally.

 

while I think it’s stupid and agree it’s just a tackle, the rule is you can’t land with your body weight on the offensive player. You basically have to try to land to the side or let go of him on the way down and try to brace yourself from falling on him.
It was the correct call.

 

There's no point in arguing. Anybody who saw the play who isn't wearing maze & blue knows it was a penalty, even if they hate that football has become a sport where that kind of tackle is a penalty... but he'll never give in. I fell for it a while back, but arguing this nonsense with him is no longer worth my time.

Those pictures literally show him landing on him... on his head... with his body.

The video is better than the pictures... 5:30 mark... Drives him into the ground and lands on his head.

Why does it matter where he lands? It wasn’t him DRIVING him to the ground. The video clearly shows what the pictures show that he released him and tried to catch himself with his arms and the momentum has him land on him. Not a vicious pounding into the head. It was a perfectly clean tackle.

 

I know some folks that do aerial photography, check out this shot one of them got. Freaking awesome.

Nah, good offensive PI. Go back and watch it again. Even the announcers at the end agreed it was a necessary call because of how it happened. Wisconsin shot themselves in the foot... They had Oregon's offense smothered... Read everything we were doing. Couldn't capitalize on O in the biggest moments. Those jet sweeps/end arounds killed us and should have been used the whole game tbh.

The Wisconsin coach looked like he was a midwesterner dressed for some light yard work on a fall Saturday.

 

I share an office with a huge Auburn Fan and it's eerily quiet this morning...

 

I look like the fucking cat from Alice in Wonderland sitting beside this Ohio State fan today.

 

From what I saw, MN showed up to win a game.
