Official 2019 NCAA Football thread

I’ve liked Dabo the last several years. Haven’t had a problem with the Clemson dominance. Still don’t. I like (most) dynasties. It’s fun to watch. But, this season, Dabo has just come across as whiney all season. You don’t get to play the woe is me card anymore. It worked at the beginning because it was truth. It doesn’t work anymore. “They don’t want us in it” “the acc doesn’t get any respect” “we might as well be playing in Baton Rouge.” Well, maybe your fan base should travel? UGA played in South Bend, but they might as well have been playing in Athens, Ga. Then played Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl and everyone I talked to that was there said it seemed like a home game in Pasadena. Suck it up, buttercup.

 

Like it, or not, the whiny little bitch prospective is one that tons of folks in the college football audience
(besides Taters) get from Dabo. Hell, even commentators and sports writers have talked about it.

 

imagine being defending national champs and on a 30 game win streak and your coach is using a David vs Goliath quote and saying your team is David

 

I get your point. I will say I don't believe Clemson is a dynasty because I feel you have to be standing alone to claim that, but I believe they would be if they win Monday night because it'll be 3 championships in 4 years and that's solid.

It's not whining if it's true, I believe all those quotes.

 

I wouldn't use that one lol but Goliath would be the media, not the teams they were playing

 

I took it as, go out there and prove to them what you are and not what they say we aren't

Not worried about all the talk from whoever about what coach says what. It’s going to be a great game. Coach O is a great coach, and has an outstanding team this year. Dabo is a great coach, and also has an outstanding team. I’m not a trash talker, I’m not good at it and I don’t like it.
I just hope this game is the best damn game of the season for both fanbases. Sure would love to see CLEMSON TIGERS come out on top.

 

For the record, all three of LSU’s National Championships were decided in NOLA.

LSU’s defense is finally back in full force. Injuries have plagued them all year. Of course neither Georgia and Oklahoma have any offense at all.

 

Uh OU has a top 10 offense...

 

Joe Brady comes to agreement to stay at LSU. Gets more than double his current salary and has stated time and then again he wants to be a tiger.

 

I don’t think there’s any threat in him leaving for an assistant job in college, but NFL coaches are going to come calling this offseason.

 

Do you dummies not realize that Dabo is talking to his team when he says those things? He doesn’t give a fuck what anyone really thinks about clempson. It’s how he motivates them. They feel disrespected whether it’s true or not so they play to prove a point.

 

Yes, I think everybody knows why he does it. It still gets out and it still sounds stupid and whiny.

 

Also leach at ms st is going to be a huge disaster. They won’t give him time to get players to run his system. And he’s not a glad hander, he doesn’t give a shit about boosters or big money donors. He’s an eccentric kook that’s probably on the autism spectrum.

The one thing I am looking forward to is the rekindling of his hate for all things aggy.

Never understood the whole “bulletin board material” crap, it’s either you want to win or not. Why do you need to throw out these narratives to get your team motivated to win? How bout you want to win a natty or go home losers, pretty simple but if that’s not enough guess it’s a culture thing these days.
