gosh I'm ready for some football, preseason NFL games just don't do anything for me.

It just doesn't scratch that itch!

 

it doesn't at all lol. If they played 1st string it would satisfy me some, but it's just so pointless...

I'm pulling for Miami, but I do believe Floriduh will come out with the W.

 

I do want to see Martel finally play and kind of want to see him get brought back to Earth a little...

He should be forced to sit out two years if he transfers again. I can’t believe he got a waiver for hurt feelings.

 

He supposedly is considering a move to WR. I think its hilarious honestly. Kid thinks hes the greatest player ever and has lost his job twice in the same preseason. Nothing satisfies me better than someone thinking they are the greatest being humbled hard. He is a prime example of why the transfer portal is going to and already has turned into a cancer for college football. These kids these days don't want to work hard for anything and have everything handed to them. And when someone does outwork them or earn it over them they just take their ball and go home/somewhere else they won't have to work hard.

 

I have a love/hate for the transfer portal stuff, just because I think it can be really great and really bad. I think back to when I made my college decision, I do wish I had known more or known what would be taken away by a certain decision. I'm happy with my decision, but after it was made scholarships to the other schools were no longer even options. No, I don't think kids should be transferring willy nilly because they lost the starting job, but maybe scholarship plays a roll or maybe a coach being a big fat liar plays a roll. There are scenarios I see it being beneficial, but then there are titty baby Martells in the world that ruin it.

 

The kids abusing the transfer portal were never going to find a decent starting spot, so the notion it’s going to cause havoc in a million dollar industry is ridiculous to me.

It’d be better if scouts and coaches recruited better and noticed these flaws before they had the kid enrolled.

 

A simple way to fix that is to take 1 paid semester of the scholarship off for each transfer.

 

I would agree with that if they are on an athletic scholarship, but any kids that are on academic scholarship shouldn't have that same consequence, because they might be transferring for a better academic opportunity than they originally thought they were getting with their first decision.

Idk I really have a hard time with it because I was one of those academic scholarship kids that didn't have any sort of opportunity to transfer because my scholarship would just disappear, but these athletes can do seemingly whatever they want...
