Just a quick run down....Thats a pretty active backfield.

 

Who else on here has direct tv? Heard they’re having contract disputes with ESPN/Disney and we may not have ESPN tomorrow. But it’s on now. I haven’t tried calling yet because it’s such a pita. Just wondering if anyone else heard, or noticed, or even called them? I’ll be pissed beyond belief if I don’t have ESPN tomorrow and will rip them a new asshole. I’m so sick of the cable companies and their bs. Wife doesn’t want to do streaming. I feel like I can’t win.

Why does she not want to do streaming? It’s the best thing ever.

 

I mean we do streaming for movies but she is just old school with tv and doesn’t want to try it.

 

Question about streaming, are you able to go back and watch games afterwards? I always record my UGA games so I can go back and rewatch certain plays or moments to get a better opinion on what happened. If I did sign up, is this possible? Also don’t know what service would be best? YouTube or Sling? Do others have ESPN?

 

I use Hulu Live. You can record anything you want on it and go back and watch. Only issues are pac-12 network. I think they have SEC and ACC networks now

You can record to a cloud or do you need a device with storage space? I have a fire stick that is 4K capable. Don’t know how much or if it allows for storage aside from downloading apps though? I have a samsung smart tv also but it has issues staying connected to the WiFi so I always just go through the fire stick.

 

Cloud. But I have Hulu on my Xbox instead of the tv itself. I don't think Hulu is on Samsung TVs yet, as mine is newer and doesn't have it

 

Actually looking at YouTube tv. It has the channels I watch. It can run on fire stick but apparently need fire tv for recording features

 

I don’t think YouTube tv works on fire stick since that’s Amazon? It works on Roku. You can record and go back and watch it.

 

YouTube tv recording works on the cloud.

I watch it through my Apple TV.

No local storage needed.

Tell her to suck it up. It’s $45 a month for Hulu live, stream on up to 3 screens at once I think (upgrade to unlimited for$10) you get all the ESPNs, SECN, ACCN, and I think even big 10. Cloud storage. There’s no NFL network, but NFL sucks anyway.

Here's the issue:

ESPN is trying to make DTV pay more for their channels and they are not having it. We had a similar issue in our area with a local channel recently... Nexstar did the same thing. They ended up caving.
