he put together the single greatest quarterback season in history. That speaks volumes. Teams want him. Badly.

no he doesn’t have leverage from a money stance unless he does sign with the first team that takes him, but he has leverage, as he said, to decide where he goes. Just as much as a free agent does. If teams want him they contact him. He can decide yes or no to play for them. He can’t pick and choose a team because they may not want him. But he has the leverage to choose the team he wants, if they also want him.

It is in fact, leverage.

Having a choice doesnt equate to leverage.

For instance....if the team he wants to play for, doesnt want him...but he can choose between these 4 teams that do...that isnt leverage. That's choice.

 

Oh, and for the record I didn't complain, I just kept scrolling until I got to your question about why everyone has to complain about what the discussion is about, and then answered that.

So really, you were the one complaining by asking why everyone has to complain.

 

Having a choice can and does in this situation equate to leverage. You are correct, a choice does not always mean leverage, but in this case it does. Literally. You don’t know what teams want him, you don’t know what teams he wants, you don’t know what teams he has talked to. So how can you say he doesn’t have leverage when you don’t know anything of the situation?

 

Sounds like a complaint to me.

I believe he has leverage because he said he does. I’m not hating and saying he’s some idiot that doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I have information (from his mouth) that tells me he does have leverage, and you all have no information from anywhere to say he doesn’t have leverage.

That would be leverage if every team was willing to trade whatever they had to for the first pick to take him.

His one amazing season in college?

College performance doesnt always translate to success in the NFL. So...that's not a leveraging point.

 

It equals choice...and a jaded one at that.

 

The fact that Joe Burrow loses something utilizing his perceived leverage, means it's not leverage.
