I was gonna say you could avoid all confusion and order from the schools bookstore / student union / whoever sells the official merchandise at LSU.

My girl was shopping downtown the other day while in visiting and asked why there is stuff about burning couches, aka the good old days.

 

So, I just went down a short rabbit hole.

As a former band nerd, I can understand why a marching band would have fun with it...but wow. I would think pairing STTDB with something a bit more, I dunno....Rock maybe (?) would make it much more fun. That is, if shouting STTDB at the top of your lungs is somehow fun.

I actually expect more from the LSU band. Not in the sense of being classy, as that had more to do with the fans...

But, when I think of LSU's band, I think of killer musicians who can play some really cool music. I saw they rolled through Bourbon Street...that is quite an experience...really cool.

 

If you are looking for merchandise, the LSU SportShop is right there across from Tiger Stadium and "Barnes and Noble at LSU" is right there at the student union. Both are on campus, and should have official gear for purchase online or just to see what year is printed on the merchandise.

 

A lot of times, the official gear will be sold by Academy Sports.....

 

I'm no musician, or music expert....but I find the song to be pretty fun and catchy. Obviously yes the fans (mainly the student section) started the STTDB

Like I said, I understand why the band picked it up to play it...it is much better done by a marching band than by the original artist...lol.

So all that “OBJ handed out fake money” BS...Burrow was on the Pardon My Take podcast and said it was real money. “I’m not a student athlete anymore, so I can say yea” when he was asked if it was real.

Here come the sanctions.

 

he didn't "SAY" it was real money. I'm not saying it was or wasn't real money, but so far no evidence has been provided towards either. I hope for LSU that it was fake, and I hope they ban OBJ from the facilities.
