I'm guessing all those that claimed BYU should be higher ranked and considered for the playoffs won't be heard from next week. CC is a good football team but they too, even if undefeated, won't be considered.

Michigan just cancelled the OSU game, making it impossible for OSU to make it the B1G championship game according to the B1G rules for this season.

they’ll change it to allow them in even though they’ve only played 5 games. Which is bullshit.

In all seriousness, it’s a shitty situation but let’s not act like OSU isn’t a top 4 team. Not their fault the Big10 backed out with the pac12 to be a trendsetter and it backfired. OSU been vocal since day 1 they wanted to play a full season.

 

This is an asterisk year for anyone who wins not named Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, or Clemson. They’re head and shoulders (to me) above everyone else and will have played a full or near full season.

Following a morning meeting of the conference's presidents, the Big Ten on Tuesday decided to cancel the college football season for fall 2020 with hopes of playing in spring 2021. With this decision, the Big Ten has become the first Power Five conference to decide not to play this fall amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unlike other conferences — and the Big Ten’s previous schedule released in August — there are no windows to make up canceled games. The conference could end the season with some teams playing an unequal number of games. That may require unusual tiebreaker procedures in determining each division’s champion. For any team contending for a spot in the College Football Playoff, missed games could hurt its résumé.
