Anyone going to play top golf at any of the stadiums they’re going to be in? They’re in Athens this weekend and the wife and I are thinking about going.

 

No way, much less make it to a stadium. 20 years ago, probably since I couldn't wait to get a ticket to a game. Too much other college football to watch to be tied up at one game.

That being said, bucket list stadiums for a good game I'll never do in no particular order even if there's no top golf:

Does anyone really want to see Bama and CC play? 50 lb weight advantage on both lines would get ugly real fast.

It’s officially July, and that means it’s the last month of 2021 without college football.

 

If theyre famous enough, they will sponsor products and services. So what?

 

There will be a race to the bottom with schools lowering standards as to what endorsement are acceptable to attract players. How are the big uglies up front going to feel about the flashy running back they enable making big buck while they make nothing? Players will soon be shopping schools based on money avaliable which is going to Cement the big money schools as the only ones with any chance at the playoffs.

Then there is the ugliness of politics that will surely rear its head. Will planned parenthood be allowed to endorse athletes at Cristian colleges? Will the NRA be allowed to sponsor athletes at Harvard, NYU or Yale? This will lead to endless litigation. I would prefer the colleges just pay the athletes money every month.

 

they already do pay them, it's just "secret", and the "big money schools" already exist and that's why you keep seeing the same teams in the same conversations all the time. you're blind if you think otherwise.

 

Is it just me... or is covering tuition, housing, and books known as a form of payment?!

I'm with Scotty... this will just open a pandoras box of fuckery and cause the bigger schools to stay big. Who's gonna go to a mid major in a smaller town when the big boys offer more exposure for bigger bank.
