Still a successful season for Michigan in my opinion. A hell of a turnaround from the season that should have never been and finally beating OSU. Should have beaten MSU but, shoulda, coulda, woulda.

They really need to stop playing McNamara in this game.

 

Hindsight is 20/20. Maybe UM and UC are laying UGA SECCG eggs right now?

 

Ohio State fan here…….I have to say that this is a fun game to watch lol

 

I'd much rather see this than an SEC Championship game rematch for the national title.

Yes. In 2006, Michigan/Ohio State were denied the chance at a rematch in the national championship despite being #1 and #2 going into The Game and the game finishing with a close score. No question AL and GA are the best two teams, but they already played. Just my opinion though.

 

The two best teams are playing for the title, guess we could change the rules to try and stop this. Maybe not have a playoff and go back to the AP deciding who's champion that way a romantic favorite could be crowned. In the past the only undefeated team might be crowned. Bama had a so so game and beat that team by 21 and the way Georgia is playing that margin against Cincinnati could have been 40.

 

I'd settle for an expanded playoff. It would certainly legitimize it far more when teams have to win 4 or 5 in a row to win it all.

You don't want to see GA/AL for a 2nd time but with an expanded playoff they could possible play 3 times in one year.

They played reg season last year with Bama winning, Georgia doesn't lose another and they play again in the SEC title game. Expanded playoff means both would have made the playoffs regardless of winner then might meet again in the playoffs or god forbid they both make it to the title game. Heads would explode, demands would rain in to only allow one SEC team in.

 

My key words were that I didn't want to see it for the national championship. Now, if they happened to get there in an expanded playoff, so be it. In my opinion they should have played one another today. But that's my opinion. I would say the same could apply to Michigan/Ohio State, but the way the conference is currently set up, Michigan and Ohio State can never play one another in the B1G championship game.

 

I will never understand homering a conference. Ever.

Great job! You guys definitely played way better. Good luck avenging your loss to Bama! I didn't think anyone would beat GA this year and they played like it today.

 

I was torn in this game, wanted the SEC team to win but would rather Alabama play Michigan in the title game. Bama and Georgia compete in recruiting so a dawg loss may help there too. But I also like Kirby, no so much Harbaugh.

Michigan would be an easier opponent and Georgia will be out for blood.

But if Bama trounce's Georgia again there'll be no doubt and the recruiting edge will lean Bama.

I won't be upset if Georgia wins, Bama lost so much talent last year it's a wonder they made to the natty in the first place. They're in the title game and that's the best any team can hope for, a chance.

 

Nope, still more competitive than these two games. And Georgia will be favored, so I think it’s the best title game available
