I get that it’s about money. Let’s be honest, USC is a big enough name to make their own money. The locality of usc and ucla to the B1G just drives me crazy

Who are the next dominos to fall? FSU and/or Clemson to the SEC?

There is zero incentive for anyone to join or stay in the ACC now because of their horrible leadership (that current TV contract is implausibly bad).

The SEC and B1G can basically take in everyone and nullify the NCAA, which is would LOVE.

Notre Dame, Oregon, Washington, Duke to the Big10. 20 team super conference in our future.

Duke? Why would they want Duke? They already have NW. My guess is after USC and UCLA, they take Oregon, Washington, ND and Stanford. That gives them a 5 school west coast pod plus ND.

As for the ACC, the GOR is the only thing delaying that conference's implosion. Wouldn't be surprised if both the B1X and the SEC pick their favorites and leave the rest to join the G5...just like what happened to the B12 and what will happen to the P12.

We have entered the era of the P2 and the G8. The G8 will become the farm league for the P2.

All recent moves are about football with large fanbases who support that sport. Filling stadiums, etc. Duke is a small private school with poor fan support. I can see FSU and Clemson being on the top of a lot of expansion lists. Duke? Not so much. UNC will be a target long before Duke.

Currently the SEC has Vandy, and the B1X has NW. Do they want another (small) private school? Would be absolutely shocked if Duke was the first school taken out of the ACC...or if they're taken at all.

Duke will 100% get scooped up strictly because of basketball. I get that the moves have been made because of football so far, but that’s not going to be the only reason this happens. Duke won’t be the first taken, but theyll be in the super conference.

Basketball money has never been glorified like football in releases, but you can be sure it brings in a ton of money for actual NCAAMBB conferences like the B12 and ACC.

Also, Duke goes nowhere without UNC. Package deal.

‘Well “I” only have one slot for an east coast team/school. Just make sense to fill out with west coast teams. Kansas is rumored to have itchy feet, but that flies in the face of the east <—> west expansion of the Big10.

ACC and Pac12 are discussing a “partnership” including a championship game played in Vegas, per Dennis Dodd.

This is about to get crazy. College football as we know it is ending. The NCAA might as well no longer be a thing.

We have plans to go to the Cocktail Party in October. Never been, always wanted to go. Glad we are… After this realignment, who knows if games like the Cocktail Party will even be a thing within the next 5 years?

“It’s gonna become the NFL in a sense," Leinart said. "You have these two conferences. The transfer portal is free agency; it literally is free agency right now with NIL. Will there be a player’s union at some point? ...
There’s no governance right now. All of those things are down the line. It’s gonna happen in the next three to five years probably.”

This is all if 4-6 members don’t leave for the B12. Recency bias says that alliances haven’t worked out for the PAC.

ACC headquarters are asking Greensboro for 15 million or they are gonna relocate to Charlotte or Atlanta. I say , good riddance.
