Official 2022 NCAA Football Thread

Surprised to check back into thread with no mention of the AU/MS game. It obviously wasn't hyped up to be a "big" game, but it was a way better game than the TN/GA snooze-fest. Cadillac brought something really special to that team, and I think even the saltiest of AL fans would agree that the atmosphere and passion he brought to the team, is what college football is all about. Obviously, another loss for the record, but a huge win for team morale. It surely won't last long, but I bet that game will be one for the books as those kids go on with the rest of their lives.

 

where are all the tide fans?

 

They're not far, don't worry lol. Hit a roll call, they'll come flocking in telling you they're still the best because of their 10 year domination

LSU's ranking in the Polls..

 

My problem with the rankings is the clear preferential treatment to Alabama. I know they’ve lost to two top 10 teams, if you call LSU that…but they were a two TD favorite over LSU and lost. It’s not a 1 point loss…it’s more like a 15 point loss.

 

Did you notice how the No.2 position in the CFP was barely even mentioned? I think about all that was said was "Ohio state won in bad weather". Whenever they spoke of upcoming weeks like "Team X could jump into the Top 4 if they do this and this and that", they never mention displacing Ohio State... it's always some other team that will be displaced. It's like "The No.2 spot belongs to Ohio State, and we're not going to discuss the matter." TCU has already beaten four ranked teams, but they must beat Texas on Saturday to prove to "The Committee" that they are "worthy". But Ohio State has only beaten two ranked teams, and they are seemingly locked into the No.2 spot??

 

Didn't you hear? They won all of college football for the past 10 years; that means they can lose to Ole Miss and still hold a place above them probably

 

While you all watch live games, I choose to live in the past. I’d rather watch YouTube highlights from the 90’s when my team was the best program in the nation. Hard to see them suck for an entire decade.

Welp, UGA defense is the real deal. No gimmick just straight-up man to man defense and spanked Tennessee. As a Vols fan I think TCU, Michigan, and Oregon will lose which opens the door for #3/#4. Although I'm not convinced the committee won't give a bone to Michigan and have two B10 playoff teams.

 

that finnebumb guy says alabama's dominance is fading. Maybe saban's job will open up for urban meyer. lol. you know if saban has a couple of off years the fan base will be calling him to leave. lol...maybe saban can coach the dolphins for a half a season or so...

I say if bama drops another regular season game this season, a lot of that fan fan base will eat themselves alive.

I've tried to watch his show, but its hard to do so. he has some good takes and then he has a lot of those wth takes. then you get the regular callers who seem like they are in love with their on the air persona that no one but themselves like, and those are the callers that are usually the most delusional and biggest embarresment to the fanbase in which they claim to represent.

 

He has a fan base but I think it's mostly people who do NOT own a TV.

 

he was an early season favorite to repeat and I will pay respect to Young as I think he is great talent.
