Story time.
In 2010 in preparation for the national championship game against Alabama I decided to change it up from my normal BBQ routine and I smoked a couple of Boston butts and did a whole North Carolina style pulled pork bbq feast. Colt McCoy got hurt in the 1st quarter and Alabama went on to win the game.

fast forward to last season
I was on the road and decided to spend the weekend with a friend to watch the game in his Alabama themed man cave.
Quinn Ewers got hurt in the 1st quarter and Alabama went on to win the game.

yesterday
I’d been feeling good about this game all week and I had a plan in mind. I got the smoker ready and went to my local H-E-B and bought a big ass brisket.
At 4am and lit the fire.
At 4pm we were getting close.
At kick off I was ready.
At half time it was time to bring the mojo and I sliced that beautiful piece of pure Texas beef. And I settled in to watch the inevitable conclusion to over a decade of misery.
Quinn Ewers did not get hurt in the 1st quarter and Alabama did not go on to win the game.

moral of the story?
THE FUCKING CURSE IS REVERSED!!!
Alabama is 0-8-1 against Texas in games that the starting QB has made it through the first quarter.

My assessment of the Auburn game last night, Auburn had to many turnovers and Cali’s kicker needs glasses…….WDE!!

 

I was going to say that this entire story was worthless without pics of Texas brisket.

He had a great lake place here in North Georgia and sold it because he never used it

 

I remember hearing about that lake house, hosting team retreats there.
He just bought a beach house in a premier spot in florida somehwere. With what he has made in coaching, endorsements, and current business endeavors, he should just kick back and enjoy life somewhere. Heck if he gets bored he can always do appearances and football camps.
