Dawgs go on to win 36-33, crazy game. It’s a game that anyone who went to the game (as did I) will never forget.

Oregon played mistake free most of the game (should’ve punted instead of going for it on 4th and 3 with not much time on the clock) and out-gained Udub by 100 yards, and even if they looked discombobulated at times and Michael Penix was playing hurt, the fact the Huskies were able to pull it out shows how good we are, able to get the win without playing their cleanest game.

Passing on 4th and 3 with 2:11 left was a decisive error. WA. then got a first down and the game was in the books.They will be second guessing themselves for the rest of the season for that call.

I know we're small time, but the last 1:30 of the CSU / Boise State game was madness. Love it.

 

That was the best ending so far this year. I don't think I've seen so many penalties called in a single game. It was a very aggressive game, on one play there were four personal fouls and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called. They have a fierce rivalry, and it was homecoming night for Colorado State. They weren't going to let this one get away and it was the first time they've beat them in twelve years.

 

Iowa’s punter had 500+ yards of punts yesterday. 10 punts averaging just over 50 yards per.

Brock Bowers is going to have tight rope surgery, so he’ll be out 4-6 weeks - so the rest of the regular season.
Huge loss, obviously. He was our leading receiver and on pace to be our first 1000 yard receiver in 20 years. Not only that, but he’s one of our best run blockers and is a distraction on most other pass plays.

Iowa’s leading WR has 10 catches for 83 yards through 7 games

They do have 2 TE with over 100 rec yards - 1 leading the team with 21 catches and 1 tied for 2nd in rec with 10.

Can't wait to watch the Quicklane Bowl. It'll definitely be more meaningful than any real playoff game.

Division II uses a 28 team playoff. DI is way behind on this simply because a few people are afraid of change. A 4 team playoff is a joke which has already served its purpose.
