I mean, I'm not quitting my job. I just have a philosophy (after putting myself through hell) that I will never work another job/career that I loathe or hate to go to daily.

And my boss is the coolest mfer in the world and lets me take days off with extreme short notice. He's a huge proponent of trying to get more vacation time for all the company. Boost moral n shit.
-sometimes his optimism makes me sick

I'll be rowing through the South side of Slade through Richmond.
Most people are closer going down 64 to the Parkway. If you all need me to meet anyone in Lexington and go that way I will be more than happy.

Plan is to get there semi early Friday morning. Whatever time works with everyone else is fine with me.

I'm re doing the list on the first page to people I know are coming as of now. If you're still in, please comment if I don't tag you that you'll be there so we can get a head count. If I tag you and you can't make it, simply let me know!

I'm guessing we'll just need to purchase a normal park sticker to enter RRG?

It's not really "Inside" the park. You're around the park but will not be camping on park property. We didn't purchase anything last year.

Free is the best kind of wheeling.

I figured we would go where we went last year @mwc273 , then we can go explore the bottom side of 11 near Zachariah towards 1036 and where they have been trying to put an off-road park on the south end of the mountain there. If we can make it all the way South through the trails in the rigs from where we started last year, it would be even better.

Yup, hopefully my woman is still sitting on the porch so I can yell at her as I drive by again. I'm going to look at the map, I know when we crossed the stream and turn left you can also turn right. From Google Maps, it looks like you can go a good distance that way too (maybe around Widow maker). Would like to find Carburetor hill.

I'm still 100% going. Most likely leaving my side of the state Friday morning, I see no reason why I would have to leave after work.

I'll probably be coming through the park from either Farmers/Sharkey or Mt Sterling exits. Stanton looks like the nearest bigger town over Slade.

As for my antenna, I have a new one. Think I'm having grounding issues though, sounds like poo and I haven't gotten anyone to talk back much.

When we went most recently we hit the trails right on 1036 where the park is supposed to be. One of those trails led to a mud hole I'm not sure we would get DCLBs through or any truck at all.

Best access to the trails we were on was off of Barker Branch Rd which is off of 1036 (37.727923, -83.722236). This isn't that far from where yall camped last year or from where we were forced to turn around.

Where we turned around: 37.738312, -83.716617

Yeah...I've wondered just how close we were (in April) to where they camped last summer. Once the park is officially open, I wanna go back.

Think Im Going to pick up a camp permit anyway since they were 3$, just in case we camp else where. The spot we camped last year ended up being a playground for night wheelers. I'll definitely camp in the woods instead of on the middle of an obstacle this go just in case.

A lot of the area is privately owned. Much of where Hollerwood ORP is locating is abandon shale oil ground. The state and county ended up with it over unpaid taxes. Some of it is DBNF property....Lines are vague. From what I saw in April, no one seems to mind where you go. Heavy trail use. I would guess there would be signs if/when you cross on to Federally held land.

I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn one time.
