I have been in contact with ECGS. I installed the bushing last march or april and the vibes have returned as bad as before the install. Their customer service has been great by my account. They are willing to comp me a replacement bushing, pending return of the used one so they can see if this one went bad and why. ... Glad I kept my removal tool.

That's the first I've heard of that. I'm just glad mine not leaking anymore, and the vibes are gone! Smooth as stock now.

I have been dealing with Chase Perry, he said the bushings have been tested to 500,000 miles with no discernable wear.

Have you checked the wheel bearing? It seems more likely that the wheel bearing is now going, rather than the bushing failing. You have probably checked this though.

Who says they don't? While not as common, one guy with a 2004 did swap out the bearing due to this exact issue. You'll find it in the original thread where he, a few others, and I were trying to figure out if the bearing truly could be replaced from the outside (without taking the front diff apart as the FSM stated). He paid a shop $400 to swap out the bearing on his 1st Gen. Look up member ywen.

I fixed my vibration issue with the ECGS bushing 90k miles ago and it is still smooth with no vibrations.

A friend who has this issue, asked me about this cheaper alternative to the ECGS bushing. Anybody used this? Seems like the proven ECGS bushing is the way to go, but he points out this is half the price.

ECGS is a little more expensive but is proven to be effective from hundreds on this forum alone. I have the ECGS bushing because I didn't want to take the gamble.

I guess $135 is a "little" more expensive than $60. I certainly appreciate the ECGS was first to develop a fix for a problem that should have a factory recall.

ECGS bushing is the same price. $60. If you add the removal tool and the extra oil seal the price is $135.

^^ Correct, I was saying a little more expensive including the seal. Not sure if the just diff' includes the seal or not for $60.
