$160 + tax and hour for them to install. They replaced bearing and seal . Very nice place and they are very knowledgeable.

Skid plates apparently work both ways too. It's not the ground up completely new truck marketing makes it appear to be.

Was looking at Pelfreybilt site last night and they have items for 2012-2015 that now say 2016 compatible.

The only differences that I know of are the engine and the body styling. Everything else is the same: frame, suspension, etc.

And the technology. Crawl control. Computer stuff basically.

It's really just a big upgrade not a total redesign.

1 1/4" spacers, leveling kit 285/75/16 A/T ECGS Bushing installed
Just did my ECGS Bushing install and OMG truck rides and sounds so much better took about 2 hours plus 1 hour give or take for front diff oil change so 3 hours total. Quick tips: 1) when knocking your axle out of the hub use a rubber mallet DO NOT us a regular hammer you will mess up the threads on your axle 2) Don't buy a seal from ECGS, they are over priced you can get a national/timken or skf from local parts store for $9 instead of $20 from ECGS (national/timken part number 710596 or skf part number 18491) or from rock auto for $3-$4 plus shipping. 3)When refilling diff oil it would be a good idea to have a hand pump that screws on the quart bottles other wise it's a bitch to fill. Other than that pretty simple and well worth the payoff

    A little a this, a little a that...
I installed the ECGS bushing last weekend and have been driving for a week with no vibes, so I thought I’d give my input. Sorry if some of this was covered, but I only got through about half of the thread. My truck is still under the drivetrain warranty, but I had already bought the bushing and all the tools and the dealerships in my area are a bunch of dicks (I’m lifted), so I decided to just do the proven solution. Here’s some tips and suggestions that would have helped me:

    • I can confirm that the c-clip part number is 43425-04040.

    • An extra set of hands really helps getting the axle in and out. I couldn’t have done that by myself. Slide hammer made popping the axle out a cinch without boogering anything up.

    • The ECGS bearing puller was hard to get behind the needle bearing. I had to file a bit off the back side to slide it in there.

    • The ECGS bushing is supposed to be flush, but can stick out up to a 1/4" according to another poster here. I wish I had known that, would have saved me 30 minutes of pounding trying to drive it that last 1/16”.

    • Have something ready to drive the axle seal in. It took me a half hour to McGyver a driver using a sippy cup top and a piece of aluminum taped together. It worked well, but I should have planned ahead. PVC pipe would have been good, but I didn’t have anything that was the right size.

I hope this helps someone. Thanks to all the folks that helped me.

Has anyone looked at the TSB for this? T-SB-0026-15 from May 20, 2015.
    Front Differential Groaning/Grinding Cyclical Noise

Looks like it addresses this specific problem.

edit: Just found out how to search a thread, not the whole forum. Guess y'all have found it. Might be worth updating the first post.

    Good to hear!

I called around to dealerships around me, and most are saying 1-3 days. FML. Makes it difficult to go to work...

I posted the TSB several pages back. Had mine done.

Think I might be developing the vibe again very slowly. Jury is still out on it though. I'm not noticing it every time I hit 30-40 like I did before.

Have an appointment at the dealer on Tuesday morning. Preparing myself for them to give me the "its the lift causing the problem" spiel but we'll see. Am I destroying anything driving it until then. Vibrates pretty good between 25-50. Thanks for the tip on the bushing, will go that route if they stonewall me.

I have a weird situation, I installed the ECGS bushing and it took away vibes except one at 41mph. Before bushing it vibrated starting at about 35mph all the way up to 45, and now its only at 41 exactly. Its weird, I definitely had the front diff vibes but this other one is pissing me off that I cant figure it out.

I will absolutely be pulling out the Magnuson Moss act if needed.
