Add me to the list. Goes away the instant i turn on 4WD. Its under warranty and going to the dealer for a new diff today. Hopefully it goes away long enough until i decide to sell.

Mine is so slight its almost not noticeable. Cant hear it, only feel in the pedal. Just out of curiousity, whats the worst that could happen if the dealerships decides not to repair because of the lift.... and i leave it alone?

I went with one at Autozone. I found a lot online at various auto parts stores for around that price, but when it came down to it none of them were available even in their warehouses. It was as if they listed a generic one for each model but didn't actually carry it.

You'll probably just feel it for a long time. You said it's slight which means you can probably go tens of thousands of miles on it like that without any problems. It'll bug you more than anything.

If you're like me.... after 40k miles the seal will finally give out and you'll lose fluid. The big concern is you're wearing the bearing down and the shavings are going through your diff.

But you were a special case.:p 30K miles is still tens of thousands, and yours made it 40K miles.:D

EDIT: Seriously though, why would anyone on here take it to the dealership to have another poorly designed front diff dropped in there? Especially if they have a lift and the solution is now available here?

It started happening immediately after 885/aal installation. Maybe i'm nuts but it seems to be going away? Maybe the springs have settled a little. It was so slight that I had to try and feel it, i'm so anal tho I noticed it in the pedal

Post #367 on page 19 has the link to purchase the new part (and removal tool):

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-bearing-vibration-thread-19.html#post4783323

Also, ECGS has posted a lot of good information in here (installation information, etc). Search this thread for all of their posts and you'll find it all. And Ben has a link in the first post to help with removing the CV Axle.

Awesome, thanks! Sh+t my warranty deductible its 50, might as well fix it right for ten more bucks. Luckily I know a mechanic with a lift at his house.

Still, what truck has these issues other than tacos? Its sad that there is such a design flaw. I've lifted many a trucks and never had any issues.

Yup! If I had a $ for everytime I heard that I could retire! I love my truck but it doesn't love the lift. The sad thing is Toyota doesn't admit it and won't do anything about it because 99% of owners dont lift it. Thankfully ECGS has this fix. I gave up on the start shutter from the rear drive - at least neither of these issues is a big deal really.
