Has toyota fixed this problem on the 2014's? Mine has 9000 miles on it and I haven't felt anything yet. It drives smooth.

To my knowledge, no. The 2014 didn't change much or at all drivetrain wise..hasn't since 2005

I got it fixed put the new bushing in from ECGS and then put the bearing hub that is preassembled from Marion bumper to bumper at 03:30 in the mornen and went to work at 9am. I would recommendbuying the tool. I tried to save 60 bucks and make my own. After many attempts I got it . I really like the preassembled bearing hub . it came with all new bolts and lug bolts

so after 4 days, thousands of cuss words, dozens of trips to town, a broken ball joint press, 4 hours spent trying to machine the bushing removal tool, and extremely pissed off parents...the bushing is in, lower ball joints are replaced and there is no more vibration.....what I've learned from this? I'm cheap, i'm not a mechanic, and next time i'm letting the cash talk and paying somebody to fix my shit.

So I have had the vibs for about 1K miles now. Wasn't sure if it was my tires (MTRs) or something else. I do not notice a groan. Is there ay way to check and make sure this is the issue before I tear my truck apart?

    Thanks

Does it go away if you switch to 4x4 if so that's your problem.

Just as an update, I have had the ECGS bushing in for 80k miles now, and it continues to work great with no return of vibration.

Guess I will have to try it out, I was not super stoked to try and drive 60+ in H4 to test this out, I was hoping there was another way to tell.

I think I have this problem with my 2012 4x4 single cab: While I drive I get a vibration and noise around 20 mph and again around 45 mph. I just installed the OME 884s in the front and an AAL with the 3* shim in the rear. (2.5" lift) I have tried to make it go away by going into 4x4 but it didn't seem to have any effect at 20 or 45 mph. Is there another way to confirm that this is the problem.

You don't have to drive 60mph in H4. Put it in H4 from a stop and it should be smooth at all speeds, to include the notorious ~30mph needle bearing vibe. If it is smooth at all speeds in H4 you probably need the bushing. Worked for me.

OK guys the good and the bad news I installed the bushing and put a new seal in this weekend and it took care of the vibs and now for the bad I have a ever so slight leak and by that I mean it doesn't even hit the ground it had a drop of oil at the bottom of the diff and looked like it had ran down from the seal I will know this morning when I go out to my truck (drove to work last night and get off work at 7am)couple of questions how do you guys install the seal I used something similar to what MTOPP used only it was a white pvc connector 2" when installing the seal do you bottom it out ? I was installing mine it went in a bit crooked but when it bottomed out it seamed to be straight all the way around is there anything I need to do like coat it with oil before installing?

    any and all help please

    Thanks John
