So how many of you that “didn’t need a CMC” are taking their trucks off road on something more than a fire road?

Only asking since all y’alls trucks are so clean (and haven’t seen a clear answer but I know it varies by vehicle). I’m not opposed to a CMC, but if I can save that cash and put it elsewhere I’d like to.

I can't disagree with this statement but I'll also say that I noticed no difference in power going from a Falken 265/70/17 (about 46.5 lbs) to a KO2 275/70/17 (55 lbs). It's clearly a very subjective thing.

Right at about 3”. Honestly, a little higher than I wanted to go. I was thinking that I’ve got a little too much room up front (if that makes sense)
    Just got it back today.

Baby got a some new shoes today. I have an OME full suspension kit and had General Grabber red letter MT. They sucked, cupped like crazy and noisy.
New BFG's 275/70-17 ride smooth and look great!!!!

Feeling like I'm going insane and in circles with reading different forums and all the possible setups, need a bit of advice. My truck is a 17 TRD OR at stock height and I'm looking at a 2-2.5" suspension lift level.
im looking at fox 2.0 IFP both front and back 2" front with a 1.5" AAL in the rear. Im getting conflicting reports from 4x4 installers that this set up will not give a leveled out result. I will be fitting 275/70/17 ko2s on some sema pro rims and dont want cut or replace the UCAs just yet.

Lol, i felt your pain when I was looking for a setup. I have a friend who is a machinist and fellow Tacoma owner. I went to him for advise a he has dealt with quite a few manufactures. Out of all them, he recommended OME. I'll add the link, I went with his advise and I've been super happy. The 275' fit and look great. Zero issues, my 2 cents. I also installed the kit myself with the help of a top notch YouTube video, I'll add the link. Good luck!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOW-FRDl5wg

what OME kit did you go with? is it leveled and if so did you have to use a spacer?

I added the link in the previous post above the youtube video. It is a tad higher in the rear, actual measurement i at the end of video 2. No spacer was installed.

Does anyone have experience with a 275/70 r17 on a 9.5 width wheel with -18mm offset? I'm wondering if i could pull that off with a 2" or maybe 2.5"inch front lift with no rubbing and no cutting. I'm not worried about the tire size on its own so much as the wheel width and offset causing rub on the fender.

Will the 275/70/17 rub on my truck with 2.25" lift and Factory wheel (TRD SPORT Wheel which have offset of 30mm and the wheel wide is 7.5")?

Just got my 275/70R17's BFG KO2's. No lift yet--Some rubbing on the air dam and the plastic edge on the inner wheel well. Plan to get the lift over the next couple weeks.

Another photo of 275/70 R17 BFG KO2's, now with a 2.5" lift in front and 2" in rear. These are on 9.5" width wheels with a negative 18mm offset. I wanted the wider stance of a 285, but with a just but more room in the wheel well. With the lift, I have no issues with rubbing. Spent a lot of time debating between 275's and 285's. I think I would be happy either way, with maybe some slight advantages and disadvantages to both.

I've decided to go with the 275s. Got some Ko2s at discount ready to go on this week, but now I'm second-guessing about load E. There are some wildpeaks in load C at anoter store. Should I get the C load instead? Any other big difference between the two tires?

Haha I’m having the same doubts. Mine get here Monday through discount tire as well. Hoping that their return policy is as generous as it claims if I don’t like them after about a week.
