Also, did you get an alignment after the lift? The alignment has a big impact on if you’ll rub or not and what spots you’ll rub on.

The 4x4 shop said they did an alignment after the lift but it was with stock tires, not with the new tires... not sure if that matters?

here are pictures. The front piece is definitely rubbing. Not a ton but it’ll be easy to cut off. You can see on the rear side that it’s bending that piece back already.

how much trimming do you think I’ll need? And with trimming, I’d like to be able to take this thing up in the mountains, nothing crazy but I’d like to not rub there as well. Will trimming do the trick or will I likely be rubbing on off road trails?

Looks like it’s rubbing here pretty bad when I make a turn. Is it possible to trim this section up?

I’m surprised you’re rubbing in the back of the wheel well like that, especially if not in reverse. You’re -10 offset wheels are pretty similar to mine although any millimeter matters I guess. An alignment would adjust the wheels within the wheel well and may be able to help out with that. I can’t speak to off-roading and rubbing as my experience has only been on paved roads.

I know you already got an alignment with the stock tires but it may be that you need the wheels adjusted forward a bit, although that’ll make the rubbing in the front fender liner worse. I’ve learned over time that every truck is different, 2 trucks could have the exact same setup but totally different issues.

i just spoke with Discount Tire. They are ordering me a set of 0 offset wheels. I’m hoping this will help. At least to make the trimming I need to do not as big.

the KO2s advertise at 32.2 and the Falkens advertise at 32.4. The guy at discount tire said the KO2’s are still taller because of load and tire tread? Any thoughts on this?

And do you think the 0 offset may help/solve my problem?

Right back at cha! Did you change the outer lip bolts to black from Method or did you purchase them elsewhere?

My thought is you are taking to the wrong guy. Manufacturer’s specs are for the outside diameter and can generally be trusted. The k02 is known to run on the small side of any given Pmetric size and your data supports that.

I would think going to 0 offset would definitely help. Interestingly, even though the Falkens have a larger diameter, they are actually narrower than the KO2s at 10.8 inches vs 11.0 inches. Not sure how that actually figures into the rubbing as every truck is different. Sorry about the wild goose chase you’re in right now but I think the 0 offset wheels will get you on the right track.

    A narrower tire can help.

Thanks for the feedback and help. He has them ordered and seems to be cool with switching them all out next week. I’ve got to think going in 10mm and shorter 5mm will help clear this. It’s just barely catching on slow turns going forward. The new set up would save me 4lbs per tire/wheel combo which is also a bonus.

where are you seeing the KO2 is wider? I pulled up the specs and I am likely reading it wrong but it says the Falken is 11.1 abd the KO2 is 11.0.

That’s interesting, just went to the Falken website and it says 11.1 now. It definitely was 10.8 when I bought mine in the fall. In that case you’re probably better off with the Ko2 then if they’re a little smaller.

Nice it looks good. I was relieved when they arrived because I originally wanted bronze colored wheels but I really liked the style of the 315’s and I didn’t want to wait for stealth custom wheels to be back in stock. The gold on the wheels are not as bright as it looked on the website. They look way better in person! Maybe when I get bored of the gold, I’ll powder coat them bronze lol

I guess I can go throw a tape measure on it now to check as well. I’m gonna give the BFG’s a shot and see with those new wheels. I love the look of these. Just want to not have to trim to drive my kids to school. I don’t mind trimming to get off-road, but I feel I’m starting behind rubbing in a level parking lot. I appreciate the help. I’ll post some photo’s when the new items get put on.

this is new info to me, thanks for pointing it out. what is the impact of the 8in vs 9in wheel?

current wheel is 8.5in wide -10. The new one will be 8in wide and 0 offset. I’m curious to hear how going narrower will impact it.

The new wheels will sit 0.64 inch inward. 0.39 inch from the 10mm offset change and then 0.25 inches from the narrower wheel (0.50/2). Which wheels did you end up going with?

Got ya, this makes sense. I think that’ll clear this section. And it’s just this one from Discount Tire. I just wanted a black wheel at 0 offset. This one was only 25lbs which was a win.
