I did a CMC about a week ago as it was definitely needed. I also cut some of the plastic fender liner out. As of right now there is no lift on the vehicle, planning on a full Bilstein setup in the future. Still slight rubbing when flexed out.

have anyone tried 275/70r17 on trdpro sema wheels (+4mm offset) and with stock suspension?
Wanted to see whether that would rub anywhere.

    Thanks.

I have about 1.5” all round. A bit of an assortment of parts, so not really a lift kit I could direct you to.

Front is Bilstein 5100s, with OME 2888 springs, set at second notch, for the weight of the steel stub bumper and winch. 1/4” steel “taco lean spacer” on the driver side.

Rear has an no-name add-a-leaf (added by a spring shop right into the factory pack to handle the weight of the canopy) and a 1” block to maintain rake. I have Billstein 5160 shocks in the back FWIW.

Truck sits about 1” higher in the rear than front when not loaded for camping. Is level with gear in the back.

Not the most fancy solution, but honestly it’s been perfect for my uses.

I have no issues at all with driveline vibes, no axle wrap, I did not replace the needle bearing, and have no rubbing with 275’s, with pretty much full articulation maintained.

Gotcha! I’ve been waiting to install my 5100’s, AAL, and 888 for a couple months now. Basically waiting until I need new tires since I’m still on 265’s. Your build is exactly the look I’m going for so I appreciate the reply!

Same here, except I plan on keeping stock springs with the 5100. My 265 Cooper Rugged Treks are almost at 4/32. While I wear them down, I'm trying to decide between 275 Toyo AT3, Toyo R/T Trails, or BFG K03. Decisions, decisions...

No problem. Hope it works out for you. 5100s punch way above their weight class. Great product.

Thanks for the details. If I were to modify my 3rd gen DCLB I'd consider what you did. I think It would be perfect for my needs.
