Always left it out of overdrive and crossed my fingers to see 65 mph! I was planning a gear swap but then traded it off.

    Who says you can't play with a 5lug?? ;-)

Went to play in the snow and grab a tree. Extremely surprised and happy with how the truck handled in the snow. Went up with three 4WD trucks. I didn't have to chain up until everyone did. Even got compliments from them about how well it handled!!

31x10.50-15 Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2. I love them. Nice and quiet ride on highway. And in the snow didn't let me down.

Ya the setup is a bad design. I've jumped it a couple times and had no problems but I know the bj is a real weak point. Im saving up form a lt kit.

Same here, the previous owner of my truck broke 3 bj's. I now have all new bj's and brackets assembly's but still carry an entire spare upper arm/bj/bracket assembly under my seat at all times. Ready for that deadly wall mart speed bump or pot hole infested twisty dirt road.
I need to get a lower bj as well to carry that around.

[If you take my advice seriously]

I would highly suggest building the rear end first if you're actually in to desert offroading. I realize you want to keep the image up of looking like a cool guy having a wide front end but you will be quite surprised how well the front does with the upgraded back end then vica-versa.

Anyways I can go on for days about telling you what you should do, but truth be told, if you actually get into the desert scene, listen to the people that have been there and done that for advice.

Would it be cheaper to start out this way? And what parts would you perfer to use?
