Ha! I've been looking for 5 lug section ever since I started my account. Guess I just kept overlooking it. Here's my 1st gen. It's a '98 with 65,xxx miles. I've since taken off the ladder rack. Turns out I don't use it much.

Hey desert_guy, I'm originally from Barstow. My Dad was a mechanic at the Soutars Toyota dealership when we lived there. Good luck testing out the rig.

Those are factory size tires, 215/70-15 stretched on 15x8 rims temporarily. 235's will look a lot better than mine in that pic, especially if they are on OEM wheels which are only 15x6.

Damn, that looks awesome!! what lift did you go with, ReadyLift or FatBobs?
I'm running Fatbob's with 31's and I barely clear rubbing but I really wanna colormatch and get a deep satoshi, unfortunately the sport package doesn't come in impulse red so I have to get it colormatched myself somehow. so I may go with a chrome deepsatoshi with the FJ cruiser emblem

Thanks, the lift is made by a company called CCM Offroad. It's basically identical to the Readylift kit, but from what I've read the included hardware is a lot nicer. It's also only about $200. I went with OEM Bilsteins front and back.

I did a photoshop the other day of what it should look like when it's finished:

It's 2.75" just like all the others. I don't remember the exact prices but I think everything was around $400. I bought the rears used and the fronts from an online OEM parts retailer. The fronts are OEM xrunner struts and the rears are OEM TRD 6 lug. I'm going to get the tires next and see where I want to go from there ;).

This is my 2010 tacoma 4 cylinder 2wd base tacoma. no lift or anything. I'm 17 and this is my first truck. just wondering what are the biggest tires i can put on this without any lift or black box mods. wanna make it a little tougher looking. was thinking bfg all terrains but i have to figure out the right size.

Nice purchase and nice Tacoma. Welcome to Tacoma World. As a base Tacoma owner there is a lot of information on this site.

One of the best things about purchasing a base Tacoma is that you will be able to mod this as you see fit to meet your needs. ;)

I run 31"s on my taco, mine is the same as your except red and 2006 but same model. but I run my 31's with a lift I would imagine that you can run 29's with no lift at all, now I'm 18 so I was in your shoes just last year. You can check out my build thread for pics and what not. also 235's are the biggest tire you can go without throwing off your odo but if you want a tougher looking ride there's a few things I would suggest. Do a deep satoshi mod, get eyelids, BLHM, colormatched grill, lift, tires, rims and your set! If you don't have enough money, do bits at a time. Right now I have the BHLM, lift, and tires. Just take your time doing your mods and make sure YOU want to do them
