Love those, rims with a degree of accent-chrome work great for our silver trucks, IMHO!

Thanks guys! I had a hard time finding the balance between black and silver I wanted. Always either to much of one or the other. In the end, my wife really helped my indecision. They are 16X8 +10. They stick out a little but not much past the top part of the fender. I love the little wider stance they give. I'm running 245/75/16 tires.

Also had the re-gear today. What a welcome that was having the power back. Now I just need to get out somewhere and test the Truetrac.

    Are you automatic or manual?

I let the shop order the gears and rebuild kit, but I ordered the Trutrac. I can find out the part numbers from them tomorrow because I have to go there again. They forgot to put my lug nut key back in my truck, lol. Mine is automatic so my stock gear was a 3.58. I went with a 4.10 based on my 31" tires and the Tire Size Calculator. I'm not positive, but I think the manuals come stock with 3.31 gears, so you will have to determine what gear you need based on what tire you want to ultimately use. I'll be glad to help with some research. It was fun. Just shoot me a PM.

My bad. I thought you had a manual also, and had discovered/uncovered a Truetrac kit that fit ours. The manuals do come with 3.31's .. and apparently there aren't other gearing ratio's that will work with it. The only suggested solution that works seems to be a complete third member replacement... ARB air-locker for sure, according to the following thread. Not cheap.

I remember about that differential now. I think it is a 7.5 maybe where min is 8.4". Also, unless you do serious off roading, you wouldn't need a locker. The Truetrac is a totally different animal that is great for DDs and are a lot less expensive than the air lockers. Mine was $410 after Eaton rebate.

Both are 8.4's... the 3.31 is an orphan gearing due to parts non-compatibility, in terms of being able to make alternative gearing ratio's work.

Took the 5-lugger from Orange County, CA all the way to the Shasta Dam a few weeks past. Here's a few photos near the dam.

Yep, definitely looks good .. his was one of the 5-lugs that i paid pretty close attention to, in terms of specs/possibilities for upgrades in planning my own. Mine obviously didn't exactly go in that specific direction, but it gave me ideas.. Good work Fubarjonny!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the love on the truck. I havent posted in awhile because I just recently moved into a new place and been crazy busy going to school and what not. But with that being said I'm undecided on where I want to take my build next. I'm thinking a re-gear and locker are next for lil blue. I recently acquired a boat so it would be great to get the factory power back and being able to lock my rear.
