    the only shocks from a 6 lug that work on a 5 lug are the rears fronts are a whole different story

    Im going to be buying my suspension set up in bits and pieces from a few members on here and ebay. My question though is i am going to buy a aal from fat bobs and need to know if i need longer u bolts and if so where can i get them cheaper than fat bobs "$40" thanks

    i bought mine from auto zone for about 30ish? i have no complaints about them. try calling your local parts store

    hmm guess ill check around. i didnt figure u bolts into my budget i figured they would be $10 bucks at the most. considering what it is your buying "a few cureved bolts and nuts"

    or check your stock ones if they have 3/8 to 1/2 thread left you should be fine

    just bought rear trd shocks, and will be buying front bilstein hd shocks and spacer from 5 lug taco this week. the build begins! just need to pick up my aal from somewhere. then figure out what wheels and tires to go with this coming december. very excited!

    depends, how long were they used if at all? do you have fitting u bolts ect

    Now have hd bilstein fronts, trd off road rears, 2 inch aal and 2.75 spacer from fat bobs >:) waiting on wheels for install though! This should hold me off until I go mid or long travel!

    only about 8k highway miles on them have center pins but i see you got some. nice :thumbsup:

    Haha yes I bit the bullet, went ahead and just orderd up they gave me 10% off to ease the sting a lil bit. Ready to get this project rolling. My gf is getting a trd"facepalm"... So expect a heavily modded 5 lug out of me in the future haha

    Hey 5 luggers, a friend just bought a 05 4banger and he wants to lift it. But he wants to do a body lift... As I have heard a lot of negative feed back on them, I am trying to direct him in another direction. What would you guys recommend for an affordable lift?

    Is there any alternatives that allow you to get a lift with out breaking the bank?

    Is there any transferable parts such as a 6 lug to give him
    a lift? (ex. A 4runner used land cruiser parts to gain a lift)

    Any links or info will help thanks

    I heard the front spacers were bad news too.

    So far I've learned trd billies will swap over and an AAL will be good for the rear. But I personally wouldn't throw spacers on my truck so I don't want to tell my friend to.

    Then u need to spend the money for a mid or long travel set up. Front spacer lifts are the only other type of front lift for 5 lugs that is anywhere close to cheap.

    No one else has issues with the front spacer, upgrade your front shocks for a less stiff ride and your fine. Its black or white spacer lift or a $$$ travel lift
