I think I'm gonna stick with the 235/75/15s. I like how the truck looks now. plus i don't want to dig into the differential if i don't have to

I'm eventually gonna put the mit travel lift from total chaos on my truck, but thats not until I get through with AIT and I'm at my first duty station. If i get larger tires it'll probably be something like a 265/70/16.

When you do the fat bobs lift do you have to cut the longer bolt like you do with the readylift? and if you do what does the bolt cutting entail?

Yes because the bolt will hit the spacer. I don't think if affects much if I were to do it id have the nut on the bolt before cutting.. but that's just me

Why won't they fit? I haven't had a 5-lug apart, but I have taken my 6-lug apart many times. I have a friend with a 5-lug that he might let me experiment with to get some lift on his truck. I compared my old top plate spacers to his top hats and the bolt pattern is larger on the 5-lug than the 6-lug, but only a little, it seems if you opened the holes on the frame up to look more like an oval so you could put the smaller dia bolt pattern top hat from the 6-lug on there then you would be fine. Overall it looks like 1/16" of material removal to get the bolt pattern to line up. If the issue is with opening the holes up, put some nice washers on there.

Also the 5-lug coils look fatter OD than the 6-lug, so there shouldn't be an issue with clearance.

And I assume that the strut assemble from the 6-lug is longer to give lift compared with the 5-lug.

Also wonder if you could just take the top plate off the 5-lug and put it on the 6-lug strut using the 6-lug coil.

Maybe I am way off, but it seems like it might be worth a try, or maybe I just dont know enough about it, I am no expert.
