Were you able to see the pics after I reloaded them?

That's great? Are you going to install it yourself?

I don't know about the quality of the Fat Bob's shocks yet since I only have a few hundred miles on them so far. They are not only longer but have a significant larger diameter. The skinny factory shocks on mine were well beyond their life. So I'm sure the new shocks along with the AAL is what improved my ride. Mine is so much better that I don't know if 5100's would be any better, but they may have a longer life span. I don't know.

I had considered going with the new shocks and air bags for the rear but didn't want to deal with inflating and deflating based on the load. So, I tend to agree to see how the AAL and better shocks work out first.

Are the white shocks included with the Fat Bob's kit adjustable? The Bilsteins are - that may well be the major difference.

The air-bags use a small compressor setup - so more a matter of hitting a switch, than manually adding/taking away air. It's also more money than a spacer / AAL setup, at minimum $700.00 from what i can see.

They are not adjustable. Big difference.

I would not have gone the compressor route with the air bags. Too much money. I read on here somewhere that someone is using a bike pump.

I am definitely going with aal and shocks first but, I'm keeping the airbags in mind for after. I wouldn't do a compressor, just a small hand pump if I decide to go that route.

Thanks to everyone for your input very much appreciated:thumbsup:

These rims were on my truck when I bought it. I wasn't able to get new ones when I did my lift and tires, and am probably not going to until I can get some other mods done first. They have an unknown positive offset, and I have some rub at full lock. (The black boxes are gone). Can anyone give me some suggestions on what spacers to use for these?

5x114.3 bolt pattern is one of the most common patterns used, so any tire shop should be able to set you up with straight-forward .25" spacers, or whatever you need to make that clearance up.

Thanks! I wasn't sure what bolt pattern I have.

Nope. Someone on the Northern Virginia thread on Tacomaworld works at Toyota and said he can do it for me.

I've decided to ditch the rims and go shopping.

I'm installing mine right now. Is it normal for the uca to touch the strut? Both driver and passenger sides are touching a little.

Is everything back together in the pic?

Yes but it's on jack stands. And when I was maneuvering in my driveway there's little clunking sounds sometimes.

No - mine are roughly centered. There is something definitely odd/off about the above photo. I did not install my own, so unfortunately i can't offer further advice.

Would changing the LCA bolt-cam position to bring the strut away from the UCA, work at all? I think that's where a full front end alignment might come into play..

I know it was close up on the jack but I don't think it was touching. Maybe it was. There's clearance when it's on the ground, but I don't know what would be clunking.

The nuts are missing from the uca bolts are missing plus the right one is not all the way in. Was the pic before you finished up?

Yes the pic was before I finished. I'll take the wheel off and look at it again.

Also my kit came with four very long bolts. The fat bobs website only shows two short bolts. It still fits but I would have to cut them down.
