    A protectant that will wash off at first rain. Why bother with 303? It's a dressing that is temporary. It's not even a good dressing. For a vehicle living outside a different product is required.

    I was referring to roof strips and exterior plastic.

    I don't know of any solution that can protect mirrors from pit and chips... unfortunately with glass you got to look through it... I wish there was a film you can apply and protect the windshield and such.

    Ace96's recommendation of GTechniq C4 would be the best option.

    Someone on the forum posted a product that cleaned the rubber around windows up. I can't remember what it was. May try searching cause I need to order some myself.

    For the plastic parts that turn grey instead of black... How about the product..."Wipe New".. I have seen it advertised and was wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge of this product...??
    Supposed to turn Greyed trim black again..(like new).. Even yellow headlights...
    Anyone..??

    Google wipe new Autogeek. There will be several threads pop up.

    I've had really good success with another product.

    I was referring to you glass, but you refer to plastic... two different things. I never tried C4, but Gtechniq makes some good products...I used their Exo on top of opticoat.

    In post 2498 you quoted Sith Taco 15

    Sith Taco 15 said:

    You replied;

    I guess I stopped reading your response after you stated you didn't know any solution and mentioned C4, so I was actually responding to Sith Taco, but it's all good :)

    its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
    I would use the Finger Test, run your finger across the paint if its smooth and glides across don't clay, if it feels like its rough or dragging, then Clay it

    It did a fine job...works on top of opticoat on paint and worked on opticoat on top of XPEL PPF. Unfortunately I sold the BRZ, so I don't know the long term effects...but did nice job of making it pop from what I remember. It was cheaper than the opticoat boosting products. I would have gone with gtechniq, but autogeek had cquartz finest for cheap so I wanted to try that...I will apply EXO on top of that later. I'm waiting for it to cool down before I try to learn to color correct on my truck...doing it myself this time instead of professional detailer doing it for me.

    For fabric, I would use scotchgard, neoprene type material...you should contact wetokole and their their recommendation. I don't know of many that focus on detailing with wetokole other than the Taco community. Leather and fabric is what I have experience on...for leather use leatherique.

    If it's a brand new truck and you plan to color correct your truck...you must wash, clay, wash, then do the color correction, then use Eraser or IPA, then coating. You shouldn't do the finger test...it's a good test, but if you plan to polish... if you miss a section and then the polishing pad picks up the dirt or whatever...you'll get swirls and pigtails (damage to paint). It's like paiting something...90% is preparation...10% is the actual paint. This case, it's like 70% prep and 30% polish and coating applied.
